The shipping on the CD being more than the actual product...

They already decreased the % of sales this year

Did they actually "decrease" sales or simply crack down on the fraudulent bots? If BB actually increased Sales the chart would speed up.

It looks like Harry also released an instrumental of Late Night Talking, to coincide with the physical single being shipped out: https://pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/214044/billboard-hot-100-09-2022?page=1&scrollTo=8256361

This is starting to get a bit out of hand. Billboard needs to crack down further on this, and possibly think about removing sales from the Hot 100. I can't even imagine how much more insufferable Harry's fanbase will be if they get the 1-2 on the 9/17 chart.

And this comment's reply telling the author to stop beating a dead horse, because everyone else already knows his feelings on sales & wants him to shut up, got 23 likes on Pulse lol! This comment itself only got 1 like. I feel vindicated now.

But that would de-legitimize the charts, especially in this climate when sales are very low. Imagine less than a few thousand copies being able to buy a spot on the Hot 100 or about 20k sales being enough to buy the #1 spot. Do you really want those right-wing songs (Kid Rock, John Rich, etc) that are heavily reliant on sales to be higher on the chart than they really should be?

There is a way to speed up the charts without sacrificing legitimacy. All radio has to do is drop songs after about 10 weeks like they did with BMS, and the charts would move along a lot faster.

If you don't want to spend the money to buy your favorite artists' music then that's on your end & fault when other fans WILL pay for downloads by their artists instead of simply freeloading the songs/albums. There's absolutely NOTHING illegitimate about sales! As I said in another post, Pulse members overwhelmingly believe Philadelphia Eagles Fan is constantly beating a dead horse & many of them definitely don't agree with his campaign to eliminate sales to begin with! Start actually buying the music you like instead of just streaming it. I can't understand why spending $1.29 to buy a song is such an imposition for ATRLers, even $0.69-99 when marked down! Also, while I don't agree with much of John Rich & Kid Rock's political ideology, they have the right to their viewpoints without being "canceled." I'm a Libertarian, not a WOKE SJW who wants to silence everyone's opinions with whom I don't entirely agree.

OT Radio is unlikely to speed up the charts alone. Sales die out 1st which is why strengthening the metric speeds up charts. If you want to limit impacts of excessive downloading then ️ anything over 50k by 2x what you divide up to 50k.

Ew. So undeserving. :biblio:
