I dont know why she is releasing the mv now tbh. I know the song likely won't have a chance at #1 even a couple weeks from now but at least radio could have built up a bit more (though it's rise is really slow with these abysmal updates).

It’s because 90% of the impatient stans in this thread wouldn’t shut up about it - even though what you said makes perfect sense (and it’s exactly what I’ve been saying for at least a month). We all know @TaylorNation is lurking here  They are trying to satiate us crazies 

You're probably right lol. I swear this base is the most spoiled ever  We literally got two solid music videos to watch. We really could have waited another 2 weeks or so. I mean ultimately, I'm still happy about getting to watch the video earlier but strategically it just doesn't make much sense tbh. I guess they really do want to rush the era so they can move onto Speak Now TV  (which I am excited for but I really did want us to have a fully fleshed out Midnights era / run)

The radio updates have been bad for the last two and a half weeks. Releasing the video might be the only chance at reviving the interest in the song. 

 

Like it literally grown +1.4M in 2 weeks. Not sure waiting 2 more weeks would have made any difference whatsoever. Releasing now at least gives a chance at a boost before the song started to nosedive on pop.

Yeah I wouldn’t mind waiting either. Anti-Hero could actually serve longevity in the top 10 and create a residency there tbh if she continued to push it properly. That would be the better strategy in my opinion. But we know she’s going to pull it from all avenues instead to push LH (she already flipped their positions in the streaming playlists). I love LH and want it to pop off, but she needs a more recent song that the entire gp knows and is played nonstop for a few months like As It Was (I’m not asking for a hit that big, but something with longevity at least). She doesn’t really need another quick lil number 1. She’s basically dragged for having those at this point anyways
