What's impressive is her fans' devotion.

How much of this is supported by the public though? Because I sense the huge drop incoming.

Yeah, the overreaction in this thread acting like this is some huge achievement when in reality the H100 is extremely weak in the streaming era thus these #1s mean much less. The fact that BMS went #1, Gaga’s last few singles had decent Top 10 runs, and basically even Cardi’s flops can still have a decent run shows how much more valuable weeks are over peaks.

Thats not to say it’s not a hit, but let’s be real here. This woman literally has records for the largest drops from number one and has one of the lowest selling #1s of the post-digital era.

Congrats to her though, honestly exhausted of hearing about this woman and her lack of a solo #1 because at this rate it’s not even that big of an achievement and she really does deserve it.

She deserves. Sadly it involves Dr Luke.

How am I suffering? I said she deserves it. She finally released a decent song after pumping out some pretty polarizing stuff and it’s paid off.

yeah she deserves this #1. With her long career and achievement her stans might be able to claim she's queen of rap after all

too bad she's so problematic

You sound extremely passive aggressive and it shows, that’s why.

Anyways, congrats Nicki! #1 on streaming too, so no one can say its all because of the Barbz. This song is everywhere

The passive aggressiveness is palpable but I can't bring myself to come for you with that KOS-MOS avi of yours, never thought I'd see a Xenosaga fan on ATRL.

I'm glad you at least recognize she deserves it

Nicki Minaj joins Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé as the only female artists to hit #1 without a music video.

No idea Britney and Gaga had this

which hits did that?

I’m not being passive aggressive :skull: She released a good song and got to check off a box she’d been quite literally blocked from doing so for a decade. I’m just pointing out that this isn’t and shouldn’t be the crowning moment of her career. The fixation of a metric like quantity of number ones shouldn’t undermine the fact that she has a couple of the biggest hits of the 10s.

Replacing Beyoncé at #1 after she replaced Lizzo! That has to be some kindle record. All three solo Black female #1s! :clap3:

Bittersweet cause middle school me is ecstatic for this talented woman but 2022 me is indifferent :( I wish I could celebrate her like I used to.

Congrats either way. A super impressive feat.

I agree. This shouldn’t be the highlight of her career.

huh where is the passive aggressiveness, I just said it as it is

she is arguably queen of rap, and she is indeed problematic. It's not that deep.

I don’t think people are seeing this as a “crowning” moment because her legacy and status was always intact.

It’s more so that she’s doing this still after 15 years being in the game, after all the hate,  the drama, people counted her out and said she was done, while in the midst of female rap being the most active it’s ever been in history, she still came out on top. We are witnessing her comeback

she really won, I'm speechless :dies:

re-release Chun-Li now, queen :jonny5::jonny5:

In what world, universe or dimension was BMS a forced #1? It literally spent weeks inside the top 10 before finally reaching and sitting pretty for two weeks on the top of the list, Idk about your twisted reality but in the real world that's how organic hits are made ☠️ anyways, stay pressed ? Congrats to the one and only Queen of Rap, Nicki Minaj :1stplace:
