No it’s not okay for someone to protest against how other people live and call it wrong after the many lives lost fighting for these rights.

I didn't say it's okay to be homophobic. No one in this thread did.

Yes, a person can go back to where they are originally from if they do not like a way of living here, that is not xenophobic. No one generalised and said all the islamic groups need to leave, no one discussed or pointed a finger at that group of people saying mean things about them and no one judged any religions. The thread itself is about someone leading the protest, therefore the comments.

How many times do I have to remember you that you don't know anything about that random unkown woman? You do not have any prove that she's 'originally from somewhere else' other than your own islamophobic bias telling you so. :rip:

If it was anyone else, it would’ve been the same problem.

Oh, is that so? because I've *never* seen any of the "they should go back to where they came from if they don't like the way of living here!" takes being said here every time we hear white british individiuals leading the anti-trans conversation pushed by the far-right/TERF/LGB alliances going on in the UK right now.

Could you give me any example of those comments floating around the internet in those cases?

I don’t wanna play a devil’s advocate or get a WP either. But I mean it’s less surprising when a Christian woman throws a protest in a mostly Christian country(like England) against a minority. That’s the kind of idea that people are used to these days and kinda take it for granted.

Yet the idea of the minority protesting against another peaceful minority is still a wild one, innit?

UPD: Just to clarify, I’m not a conservative. This is just a theory.

Not really, in average, white Americans have more favorable views on same sex marriage than black Americans, women position themselves against trans people happens all the time, even inside the LGBT community there is discrimination. Minorities discriminating against other minorities is very common.

As someone who lives in a Muslim country, I can tell you 85% of muslims are against the LGBT community. The ones defending them here are in for a very rude awakening.

White people telling us what to say about our own story about or own community is parallel to racists silencing POC. I guess this is what people call "white knight syndrome" :rip:

How is her religious affiliation relevant in this instance? She's homophobic regardless of which deity she worships. Let's just leave it at that.

I swear to God people like you are the reason why this world is ****** up these days.. taking everything out of context and calling someone xenophobic or islamophobic just because you don’t like what I said. Also acting like an idiot doesn’t make you look like the smart one in this situation.

Right? And what if you were an ex muslim sharing your experiences.

people would still scream islamaphobia jesus
