I agree. Should have never been more than a 5 week #1. It only spent 2 weeks at #1 on streaming and a week at #1 on sales. Even on radio, it didn't even dominate, as it only spent 4 weeks at #1 there. It doesn't deserve to be there with Old Town Road, Despacito, and Uptown Funk, all of which totally dominated and had double-digit weeks at #1 on streaming and sales. 7 out of the 10 weeks (including the last 5) AIW was #1 it didn't top any metric shows that it backed into a good chunk of its weeks at #1.

I am praising its longevity, it debuted at #1 (19 weeks ago) and has basically outlasted all the other songs that were #1 in some of those weeks and is still competing for the top position...

Okay, but that doesn't mean it would have been #1, you could literally extend your argument to hundreds of other songs 

You named other very strong songs, it's not like a bunch of big debuts that fell off afterwards. They have all been competing.
