By 2013, Fearless had sold so much that it was poised to remain her career peak. It continues to perform like a blockbuster, now up to 20.7 million.

By 2016, monster smash 1989 had moved ahead of its immaculate predecessors. It seems likely to held this top spot, as it keeps going incredibly strong, and the reissue has yet to come. It’s up to 23.1 million units overall.

It is also fighting with Ed Sheeran‘s X to be the biggest album from 2014, a battle that it was losing for years due to the insane success of the British singer lately, but the diva is impressively reversing the situation, eating back her deficit. It’s now close enough to jump over it with the upcoming reissue.

Fearless too is climbing historical rankings, as it blew away Beyoncé‘s I Am… Sasha Fierce some months ago to become the runner up from 2008 behind Lady Gaga‘s The Fame.

Red sprinted its way up to 19.3 million, claiming well over 4 million sales since the release of Taylor’s Version in November 2021. This climb concludes on two huge achievements.

The album is now 2012’s biggest ahead of Bruno Mars and Imagine Dragons‘ classics. It is also passing Eminem‘s 3rd top seller, Recovery. It means no other artist from this millennium owns a top 3 as solid as she does.

Both Taylor Swift and Speak Now have gone up to 10.7 million and 11.8 million equivalent album sales, respectively, an immense total for anyone.

Then comes reputation which just turned into one more 10 million seller for the artist. After the strong first week led by her fan base and multiple marketing gimmicks, the album collapsed fast, faster than expected.

It has been able to sustain its appeal fairly well in the mid-run though, and even improves its performances with time thanks to its songs going viral.

Its success is in the same league as the one of Taylor Swift and Speak Now especially once we consider it had much less years to amass sales.

We can also point out how difficult it is to hit 10 million many times, ones your casual listeners are already satisfied with plenty of hits from you.

In fact, Taylor Swift is the only female singer with 6 10-million sellers this millennium – she was already the only one with 5. Overall, she ties Eminem who owns 6 as well.

Lover will join the party sooner than later, now up to 9.0 million. It is one more album that only needs time to grow.

One year ago, we wrote that “although there is still a long way, it isn’t impossible to see all her albums up to Lover reach 10 million at some point.”, even when one is optimistic, Taylor Swift does her magic and performs even better.

folklore is still quite recent, and while it lacks hits, the total sales are already very healthy at 7.1 million.

Evermore scored 4.3 million units to date. While the decreasing trend is negative, the way the artist manages to get her albums climbing forever grants strong numbers in the long run.

What’s safe to say is that Taylor Swift retains her superstar aura, granting her strong sales still for her upcoming releases, along with an immensely valuable back catalog.

She continues to record roughly a million sales per month, which is unreal. What about the total to date though? Taylor Swift adds for 122.86 million equivalent album sales.

She has left behind Coldplay and Rihanna to become the biggest music act to debut in 2000 or later.

Only 4 other female singers own 3 albums at 19.3+ million. Madonna, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion.

Only 3 other female singers own 6 albums at 10+ million. Madonna, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion.

Yes, she is on that league now. And she is still only 32. Phew.

It was at 6.58 in their previous update in May 2021. At the rate things are going (~5k per day), it'll be at 10M in less than 200 days, assuming that there are no catalogue boosts in the meantime :jonny5:

They even reduced QQ numbers for 1989. 1989 should be atleast 25 million+.

Read the comments in the Taylor Swift section of chartmasters.

She will have 7 10M+ albums before the year ends and folklore will eventually make it 8. This is simply insane :deadbanana2:
