It's still relatively early in this monkeypox situation, there's still a lot of lack of information for the larger population, a lot don't know the scope of the spread, similarly to the early days of covid. This **** shaming is not helping anyone. This is one time that the gay community needs to come together and help each other, inform each other, support each other. And if you think the spread of AIDS within the gay community was entirely at their promiscuity's fault... then you really need to learn some history. Well funnily enough the WHO just declared monkeypox a global health emergency at the same level as covid! Trust the science, right? I'm just using HIV/AIDS as one example, and of course promiscuity wasn't the only factor that made (and still make) gay individuals by far the most frequent vectors of disease. But are you actually going to pretend that a sexually transmitted virus like HIV (and most often spread through unprotected sex, at that) wouldn't be most often propagated by the risky sex that gay men are more likely to engage in?
