ROSALÍA - SAOKO: WOW que excelente canción de verdad es tan madre rosy.. no one is doing it like her, quizá tenga algo de recency bias porque la vi en vivo hace unos días y no he podido dejar de escuchar MOTOMAMI desde el concierto wowowow una masterpiece

 

Selena - Amor Prohibido: ay Selena es un icono de verdad y éste es un clásico que nunca dejará de ser bueno, la quiero mucho!!!!

Belinda - Lolita: cuando tenía 10 años me compraron este CD porque me gustaba mucho pero me daba pena que mis amigos supieran que me gustaba Belinda entonces lo tiré a la basura y es uno de mis mayores arrepentimientos porque este álbum es literalmente perfecto y sooo ahead of its time. un mega clásico que tiene un lugar muy especial en mi corazón

Selena - Amor Prohibido: my fave Selena song… I'm gonna say my family wasn’t very familiar with her music so I’m not that attached as the rest of my Latina peers here but still a very good classic! So iconic tho 

 

Belanova - Rosa Pastel:  i remember singing this song with so much anger as a kid without having an ex lol. After a long time I were able to relate to this and it gives a totally new life to this classic. Love Belanova! 

 

Julieta Venegas - Eres Para Mí: a catchy ass bop… love it… it’s very groovy and I love the production! Also love that in the bridge Chilean queen Anita Tijoux is rapping! Queens! 

 

Isabella Lovestory - Mariposa: I only like one Isabella song and it’s not this… good luck hun x

Todo De Ti - I like the rap and the production. The singing voice will take some getting used to.

Me Pregunto - I prefer the other Belanova song by a big margin, but this is very pleasant to the ears 

 

Vivir así es morir de amor - Based on the one or two tracks I’ve heard from her I wasn’t expecting this. Very nice.

Rosalía - Saoko: The song that made me switch on her (in a good way)! One of my favorites of the year so far. There’s just such an insane energy on this track and the replay value is amazing

 

Selena - Amor Prohibido: Sounds very Christmasy, it’s cute-ish. Apologies to people who sent classics but I don’t have much attachment to most of these and tend to prefer the chaotic Reggaeton songs! But this is fine

 

Belanova - Rosa Pastel: I was kinda bored for a while but then certain parts of the vocal delivery drew me in. Her tone in the chorus is nice

 

Julieta Venegas - Eres Para Mí: Not my fave. The best aspects to me were the parts where it sounded like it was clipping and I’m not quite sure those are even intentional. Not bad, but neither is anything so far

 

Isabella Lovestory - Mariposa: WHEWWWW THIS BANGER. I was hoping but not expecting to see her tbh, glad you sent it, I’ll reward you well

Christina Aguilera - Genio Atrapado: Nice song in English, fine in Spanish too. Not to bandwagon because I don’t dislike it but there’s nothing else I’ve really hated either soo… :(

 

Becky G - Mayores: Such a banger!! I loved this when it came out. Captivating from amplification right at the very beginning of the song

 

Arca - KLK: This is the best song of all time. And I'm just gonna start off by saying like, if you get it you get it, if you don't you don't, if you know you know and if you don't know like I honestly feel bad for you like I cannot explain it I don't have the vocabulary to sit here and explain like you get the vibe or you don't get the vibe.

 

Rakky Ripper - Whatever: Hyperpop classic… I really liked it early last year and kinda forgot about her! The intro is easily my favorite part of the song, but the rest is really good too. The “one-two-three-four-five; WHATEVER” part always gets stuck in my head afterwards

 

Rauw Alejandro - Todo De Ti: Meh I feel nothing towards this. Worst song so far

 

Danna Paola - XT4S1S: Slightly passed me by as it’s a little H&M’d but I see the appeal
