Donna Murphy - Mother Knows Best: It’s cute! Probably my least favorite song on the Tangled soundtrack but When Will My Life Begin was banned soo. The Show Tunes style makes it a little hard to rank among the other songs? Feel like I’m judging it in an entirely different context, but there’s some fun and catchy aspects

Lea Salonga - Reflection: The melody is pretty at times but overall don’t love it, at least you didn’t send the Xtina version! Also damn this ended really quickly sjdjf was that 2:30 of one verse and chorus?!

Judy Kuhn - Colors Of The Wind: Definitely the winner of the Disney songs for me, was expecting this one and glad to see it. Love the way it explodes after the first chorus! This is so beautiful within the context of the movie as well

Mary J. Blige - I'm Going Down: This is really nice, I love her vocal performance albeit the production is a little bare in the second half? But overall a check from me!

Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas: YESSSS!! I’ve actually been so in the mood for this album recently and have listened a lot this week. The whole thing is really the pinnacle of Dream Pop and a top three album of the nineties personally, instant mood-lifter

Robin S - Show Me Love: It’s the blueprint for a reason, and as Wish said the original does it best! Absolute classic

Fergie - Clumsy: My fave Dutchess song, this still sounds fresh, love how it’s so cute and Bubblegummy compared to the other singles but still hits hard

Allie X - Girl Of The Year: This slayed the ASC finale and now it’s time to do the same thing here I hope! One of my most played songs ever, it’s so euphoric anthemic etc. and the helium’d vocals are WHEWWWW

SASAMI - Call Me Home: Very gorrgeous Weyes Blood’d song, I don’t always pay attention to lyrics but I really like them here too!

NewJeans - Attention (Lead singles): SHSJDJDJDJS YES FINALLY OMGGGGG NewJeans saved my life!!!! No words for this 11/10, this is the catchiest song ever (behind Hype Boy) it’s stuck in my head constantly

Vanessa Hudgens - Come Back To Me (missing people round): Lmao the other judges were doing entirely too much with wanting this to be sent but it’s definitely a fun little track, don’t have as much attachment here as other songs by her or by her ENDER Ashley Tisdale though

YOUHA - Japanese title (numbers round): Best K-Pop song of 2021 besides maybe Savage, this just makes me so happy and the synths are perfection, it’s executed flawlessly

I love this movie and so this song… it’s very pretty and also love the character so well points for that! love the Judy Garland esque production. I’m a fool for this kind of sound and I hope this kind of makes a return to mainstream since a lot of artists are trying to add it little by little on their songs

Well maybe this is the best song I have heard from a k pop girl group in a long time. It does not sound dated, generic and have some cool elements that make it a serve! You surprised me so good job

A classic! In my mind this reached 1 on the Hot 100 along Say Ok! Good job! I have nothing more to say! Incredible

I love all 3 of these choices, there is not a flaw in any of these songs. Donna Murphy is CAMP, the proper use of the word, this is top tier Disney villain song to me, up there with Ursula and Scar. Also I know one of y'all checked my last.fm to choose this, this is really a pander to me.  Reflection and Colors of the Wind are both beautiful moments in their films and warm my cold gay heart, both are probably top 10 Disney songs for me too.  

 

 

Mary J. Blige - I'm Going Down 

Mary is sangin here, especially at the end when she starts doing the ugly in a good way runs and her emotions are in it,

her inner Fantasia is coming out (I know Mary came first but still), R&B queens.

This 90s classic, it's very pretty and gives me good vibes

Donna Murphy - Mother Knows Best - Firstly, the instrumental is really stunning, secondly I love all the theatrical elements of this song, it was really really fun. I quite enjoyed this. 

 

Lea Salonga - Reflection - One of my friends covered this recently during a Pride themed concert and I cried because the lyrics to this song really resonate with me and what I have experienced for the past few years, a really beautiful classic. 

 

Judy Kuhn - Colors Of The Wind - Beautiful song and classic, the singer does a really good job painting the picture of the lyrics with her voice. 

 

Mary J. Blige - I'm Going Down - yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasss!! This freaking black classic btchhhhhh!! You devoured with this choice, such an emotional masterpiece, her vocal performance is quite captivating too, you can feel her emotion. 

 

Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas - This was enjoyable, it's not my favourite in the round but I do enjoy the production at times. 

 

Robin S - Show Me Love -  SO BABY IF YOU WANT ME, YOU GOT TO SHOW ME LOVE  PERFECTION! Flawless classic. 

 

Fergie - Clumsy - I haven't heard this song in a while wow, I love this song, I remember hearing this a lot when I was growing up, nostalgia is great, very strong submission, I am a big fan! 

 

Allie X - Girl Of The Year - I remember this song from ASC, this is a pretty good song. I don't have any complaints, it's a nice submission. 

 

SASAMI - Call Me Home - Well this is an interesting song, honestly there are others songs here that I like much more but her voice sounds really nice in the chorus, I appreciate this song, it's not my least fav in the round. 

 

Newjeans - Attention (Lead singles) - Definitely one of my fav kpop discoveries of the year, I just love the way they vocalize "Attention" ATTENTIONNNNNNNNNNN, it has a hint of R&B to it which really love. Lovely choice! 

 

Vanessa Hudgens - Come Back To Me (missing people round) - First of all the string instrumentation in this song is absolutely insane, like I cannot believe a Disney gurl got great production like this, I live for strings in pop music! This song is really good and one of the best singles from the Disney actors of that era.

This is very successful at a theatrical, villainous anthem, and it has many fun vocal modulations. I wouldn't seek it out to listen on my own time though.
