While I don't doubt that the show is indeed bad, or at least mediocre, you also can't deny that there was already a set narrative with people that they were going to hate this show no matter what before even watching, for a number of reasons (the subject matter, the production drama, hatredforSam and the Weeknd etc). Critics were tripping over themselves to write the biggest, most viral clickable takedown.

 

I'll watch it and have my own take on it.

on MC at least it's rated as the worst show since

2018's Insatiable (25). at least that had the excuse of being on netflix which loves trash

2017 had Inhumans (27).
