Basically only Michelle Obama has a chance :ahh:

Michelle Obama is not an electoral slam dunk. Does she poll fine in hypothetical scenarios? Sure. But for the same reason Oprah does, she’s not a political figure. People hate politicians. Michelle is different from Hillary in that she has always been forthright in her complete disinterest to running for office. People like how apolitical she is. The moment she ever decides to shift and run for office, people will turn on her when she makes statements about what she does or does not support. When she says she’d rather protect her husband’s legacy (Obamacare) than fight for universal healthcare, she will attract hate. When she says raising the minimum wage is a bad idea, she will attract hate. When she does anything to defend her husband’s abject failures, she will attract hate.

Michelle Obama is a terrible idea for a candidate.

That’s very true, I didn’t realize that her stepping into political territory would polarize her image

A far left candidate isnt going to win :dies: Joe has been sabotaged by not having enough senators on his side.  Let's see what happens this fall

Not a far right Democrat stan calling people who actually have popular policies far left :dies:

Too bad you have a far right to contend with :dies:

Aside from the fact he’s looked dead for several years, he will definitely lose if he runs again but then Kamala would probably take his place and also lose.

It doesn't matter because democrats are gonna lose either way

It doesn't matter, Republicans have it in the bag

Dems are screwed no matter what, but he should still step aside. To say it’s time for new blood in politics would be the most polite understatement I could make about our current government

I think he’s the only one who could possibly beat trump again in 2024. None of the young Dems who’s names have been floated around would. ?

Biden only won because Trump was the sitting president that fumbled on COVID. Had Trump said, "Wear a mask. Social distance. We're in this together. My administration is going to do the best it can to take care of you," Trump would have won.

Why would that even matter? He would just serve 4 more years of nothing like right now. I mean his presidency might as well be Trumps second term since the conservatives are getting everything they want while the liberals get nothing.

Joe is the problem and his own worst enemy. Very little has been done because he is content with the way the landscape is and never wanted anything to fundamentally change. Don't ******* sit here and say he's been "sabotaged". As if everyone and his own party is conspiring against him and his hands are simply tied. Please. He's done nothing to combat Manchin and Sinema, either. There's always an excuse.

He has to get out of the way. The pessimism in here is astounding. Dems are definitely suffering now, but I think a political outsider running as a Democrat in 2024 could win, especially if they are up against DeSantis who is seen as “establishment” and Trump who has a ton of baggage at this point. A lot can happen in a year and a half people.

Why should Biden step aside? Anybody else that the Dems would put up would just be worse. They'd be even less popular than Biden is now, would have even worse instincts when it comes to America's role in global conflict, and be even less likely to win at the end of the day in 2024 because they wouldn't even have incumbency advantage.

Look at how unpopular Kamala Harris is, for example. As hated as Biden is, Kamala's approval ratings have always run at a minimum of 10 points below his. Despite that, the nomination is guaranteed to go to her if Biden steps aside, because the DNC will make sure that it pans out in her favor just like they did for Hillary and Joe. Otherwise they run the risk of losing credibility with identity politics-driven black women (esp. those in the media/punditry class like Jemele Hill, Joy Ann Reid, Sunny Hostin, etc.) whom they've boxed themselves into needing to appease at all costs. That and they know the tantrums and toxicity from the KHive will be debilitating.

why are you always singling out black people? I’ve noticed you always mention the ‘conservative black southerners’ and now ‘identity politics-driven black women’.

The conservative black southerners (specifically black voters in South Carolina) are the ones who drove Biden to victory in the primaries, and thus, stuck us with a horribly impotent institutionalist president. Idpol-driven black women are the only ones who care about Kamala Harris as VP. Everybody else in the country finds her to be a terrible, talentless politician.

It's not that hard.

Funny because he's had them to the WH on multiple occasions to try to reason with them. Also funny how you try to speak for him and say he is content whereas he's never given that impression

Funny how Manchin's wife still has that nice, cushy job in Biden's administration. Biden can't even name them out publicly as being defiant to his (alleged) agenda. To pretend he's done anything to challenge them is completely out-of-touch with reality.

Facts that run counter to your worldview are not automatically a conspiracy.
