We just have to hope the political situation will not be as dire then as it is now and the left will be able to fight back.

Does anyone have a good video or book or anything on why the country is reverting back the past so rapidly.  Is this really all because of the rise of social justice that caused conservatives to go crazy? I really want to educate myself on this.

My conspiracy theory is that they're doing all this and Dems are purposefully turning a blind eye because it's some coordinated effort between both to bring the country's dwindling birth rate back up. Population is literally exploding in the east (China, India) and US' superpower status is ****** in the future if they get seriously outnumbered in man power so they're doing the most for sustenance on that regard, I fear.

They’re all from the Heritage Foundation. If Trump had lost, McConnell already said he’d have blocked any nominee Hillary put up. Relying on having a super majority of Dems in the Senate, the House, and Dems in the White House is NOT a strong strategy. 
 

If we say “all we can do is vote,” we’re screwed. Slavery was ended because of a war. LBJ, an outright racist, signed the civil rights bill because he was scared to death of political pushback of a strong outside activist movement spearheaded by Martin Luther King and other leaders of the era.

Maybe not on this day, but it would have eventually. The government is not incentivized to protect people. That is a fact. If you think just voting is the solution, you’re deluded. The leader of the House Democrats literally was campaigning for an anti-choice Democrat with an A+ rating from the NRA. There's been articles written about this on legit sites too - specifically regarding dwindling participation in the volunteer armed forces.

 

The theory being those born and shifted from foster to foster without being adopted as those forced to give birth will be poorer means they'll have no choice but to sign up for the armed forces at 18 and be cannon fodder for Exxon or Halliburton.

I don’t have a direct reference to provide, but I think there have been a few major factors: 

 

1) This has been the result of many years of strategic planning by the right wing. It started with the rise of inflammatory conservative media during the late 80s/90s. There was some law that was taken away that forced broadcasters to remain neutral and provide multiple viewpoints. This resulted in talk radio and TV media that only honed in on conservative views, leading to more people becoming zombies and listening just to conservative talking points. 

 

2) I genuinely believe that a black man becoming president basically sent all of these right wing people into the next level of insanity. They doubled down on their bigotry because they couldn’t handle the fact that Obama was our leader.

 

3) Social media has united their cause and allowed them to find many others who serve their echo chamber of hate and disinformation. 
 

It has been a long buildup that the general public wasn’t aware of until 2016 and beyond. Since Trump’s election, it has accelerated beyond belief and now it’s 1970 again.
