It's cuz this didn't debut with spectacular numbers and many of us want to clap back for all the shade y'all threw the last 2 years, but even though this isn't like AMAZING, it's still good and there's not much to clap back on here, so it ends up backfiring.

 

Had this pulled a Spirit/The Gift or even an EIL, then we'd actually have something to go on, but as it is, this isn't bad. If it has poor longevity, that's a different story, but the debut as it is is definitely good.

If this song catches on Tiktok + pop radio, and the music video is good, the song will stick around. This could be a mega hit for her if those things fall into place.
