The song is growing on me heavy. Drake is clearly gonna fall this week so she could have shot ahead. With cardi coming soon i feel like she gonna shoot up top 5 the following week.

Video should have been a package deal with the single release. That's how you do the big comeback single. Not sure what the strat is here.. even if it is gonna be a part of like a Renaissance album film they could have spliced the video from it.

She should abandon this song and drop another single + video this friday for a new song. This was a cute teaser of what’s to come but it’s not really gaining any footing and I think it’ll be a cute hit internationally but she should put her energy in a song that will do better in the US.

Yes, I know. That doesn't mean it was officially released to radio. That means radio played her song a lot. The same thing happened to Formation. It wasn't for sale, on wide streaming or sent to radio but it still debuted on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart based on radio's decision to play the song.

Sure the monday update could've been a lil better but u guys have to consider all the odds stacked against it. Considering them it's doing well. Nothing to scoff at a song pulling 2.5m+ daily 1 week in. 

It's a moderate hit and theres nothing wrong with that. She already had her fair share of smash hits plenty of times before.

The radio performance is pretty impressive tbh. Not any artist her age can just get airplay like that. But I'm not sure the public is taking to it. They should definitely release a second, more commercial single before the album drops while radio is still hungry for Beyonce.

That would make radio reject her. Her strategy is quite fine, a clean confident era is better than a desperate for hits messy one with 3 singles back to back. We just need a video to understand the concept of the era.

I don’t agree with this at all!! I think this song is worth a proper first single treatment inclusive of a music video and performance push. A second song can wait until the last week before album release

 

At this rate tho, I won’t be surprised if she holds off on putting out anything more until the album release

She has not been a singles artist since 2009. I feel the album will achieve moderate success. Beyonce has been in the game for so long after self-titled album it was very much expected she will start to crumble era by era but will have moderate success for a MPG.

You guys do know that singles use to go weeks without music videos, right. That acts would literally start filming or even writing treatment for them around the single release. And the premiere depended on when it was done.
