Gaga did WORSE numbers despite a MV, multiple Times Square banners and all the promo in the world. That's what they're trying to distract you from :ahh:

So around the same =almost a million more streams Monsters?

Stupid Love leaked like 1 MONTH earlier :rip: everyone and their mothet listened to the leak for a month in advance. It lost a lot of streams already, basically no hype left at all while Bey's was almost a surprise release since it was announce only a few days before release. The hype was real!

Very bad numbers considering the surprise release and the fact that its Beyonce’s first release in 6 years.  A flop in the making.

It also had a music video, NMF, Time's Square banner, #1 TTH placement, Apple sponsorship, etc, but stalled at #49 on Apple Music. Take the L and go.

Beyoncé did all of this with no music video and a TUESDAY release.  Her song also suffered from a leak :cm:

Lmao what does a MV have to do with Spotify numbers :lmao: in fact, MV on Youtube actually STEALS Spotify numbers since people would just watch and listen on Utube :lmao: so yeah Stupid Love wins this.

Honestly this is a dumb argument because you could say when the video is released same day, people are gonna stream the video more on YouTube and the song less on Spotify.

That has never once happened with a high profile release. :toofunny3:

Are we forgetting SL's MV literally had an entire Shot on iPhone campaign with Apple Music? There's no excuse for that horrendous placement.

The SL comparison... chile :deadbanana2: a song which leaked a month before it's actual release :deadbanana2:

Also bringing up a video release when that could be the very reason the streams split when this has a #1 TTH playlist placement :deadbanana2:

This is a low stream for Beyonce's supposed big comeback. It was made like she's at Taylor/Adele level, seems like she's within Gaga's level after all. :gaygacat3:

Congrats :clap3:

What does leaking a month before have to do with first day stream numbers?

Montero by Lil Nas X leaked way before the release yet it did great numbers.

Stop excusing fad and get off Bey's threads. You all started it and now can't take the L.

Didn’t stupid love leak more than a month before release?
Beyoncé “needed” a vogue cover, a big “comeback” announcement, and double the Spotify user base to pull these numbers. + bms  only leaked a handful of hours before release. There were only 280 million active Spotify users when Stupid Love dropped, there are now more than 420 million Spotify users. Beyoncé's comeback pulling roughly the same numbers as a song from 2.5 years ago

So did Montero by Lil Nas X, same as his album yet it ended up pulling amazing numbers.

Spotify increased on active users, but people stopped consuming new music the way they used to.

It's been reported catalogs are doing better than newer music.

Hopefully the new song can give your fave a catalog boost so that at least one of Beyoncés older albums can finally chart like The Fame has done weekly this year. :gaycat2:

The deflection.

All of these lashing from monsters right now only because all of you in 2020 were acting like SL was one of the biggest bombs ever.
And now suddenly when streaming grew a lot since 2020 these are impressive numbers lol

It was one of the biggest bombs ever. Didn't it debut top five and then freefell? It only charted for ten weeks in the Hot 100.

The sudden narrative that Beyonce is an underdog when she was always the standard is weird. I thought she was in the league of the Taylors and Adeles, above even, not someone who peaked less than 5 years into their career.

Another weird narrative is this is good for 40. Not when Madonna and Mariah were topping the charts in their late 30s and early 40s.

The goalpost is always moved when it comes to this lady. Is she an MPG or not?

The only ones spreading the narrative that Bey is an underdog are little monsters. Adele has been the only pop girl to ever pull 20M+ streams on a debut day.

Madonna is not topping charts on the streaming era and Mariah is doing so every year with a Christmas classic.

Bey is a pop girl, one that outdid Stupid Love on day 1.

It was top 30 on the first day :giraffe:

Another lie? :bibliahh:

Cause so far you said Stupid Love was never on top of Top Today's Hits and we've proven you wrong. Want us to do it again?

Stop coming for Bey, Break My Soul did greater and better numbers.

TAKE THE L AND GO.

5 million streams are really not good for “queen bey” no matter how you try to spin it.

I'm sure the Tidal numbers will be bigger. :gaycat2:

25 pages :ahh:  she’s baaaaack

Good numbers! And pretty global too. She’s smashing your honour

Posted

I’ve noticed a narrative shift now. Stupid Love was a smash according to monsters who defended it tooth and nail but now it’s a flop because this is performing similarly??

Interesting how that was coming off a repeak and this is coming off underperforming side projects that made no noise. Not bad for a woman in her 40s with “abysmal” Spotify numbers (allegedly)

@idkwiam

It's clearly not her "Believe" or "What's Love Got To Do With It" but "Chain Reaction" will do, the latter of which was a hit in Europe/Oceania.

It could also be her "Freeway Of Love". Potentially.

:giraffe:

Well. Twitter thinks it's her Believe. Kinda a set up.

Anyways it looks like it's stable on AM so probably it will be stable on Spotify too.

man, I just know this thread is probably exhausting and not worth combing through.

Really good numbers for such a type of release and it honestly received a 70/30 reception so it’s not shocking. Her WW numbers are really great tho and very happy for her :clap3:

the next song needs to be MEATY tho, this was a yummy appetizer.

Harry’s album leaked a month in advance and he did huge numbers on Spotify. Not a good excuse.

Drag it

Literally not one brain cell found in that user’s entire post history

are the monsters as a collective just incredibly stupid or do they have a humiliation fetish

it's like once a year minimum every base comes together to drag them to hell and back

:rip: like they can’t even count

And then everyone hides behind Taylor (whom a lot of the the hive respect, like or sometimes even stan) when she is literally THE biggest female artist of the 21st century in success. And Adele :rip: like no Bey does not have the draw those two have and she never has, it’s not gonna start now she’s 40 and already fighting an uphill battle after a decade of hardly any hits and anti streaming tomfoolery.

Imagine the different narrative if any other girl from Bey’s pack debuted with this. :lmao:

This is gonna be her HIAM, peak fast in its first week or two then absolutely free fall weeks coming after.
