I mean,… even though this site has an older average demographic than tiktok, I think we’re mostly just too young. I haven’t listened to any Celine album front to back, but I can say the same about just about every pop girl from that gen besides Madonna if i’m being honest. They were all smashing when most of us were super little, in diapers or not alive yet so I think you really have to make an effort to go back and get into that stuff

But that doesnt make her global. Thats like saying singer Baekhyun is global for having albums selling 1M copies in South Korea

She's not a legend because she's very influential, she's a legend because she's one of the most successful female artists in the history of popular music. I won't say she has classic albums, but she has the catalogue and talent. She's also done a great job at staying relevant and comes off as a genuinely sweet woman.

 

Madonna, Whitney, Mariah and Janet are all more influential though.
