ANTi World Tour: What Went Wrong?

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Being dubbed the “EMPTi” world tour by stan world, the last time global superstar Rihanna embarked on a world tour, she had a shockingly low turnout, failing to sell out arenas in her primary market, the United States, as well as performing to half-empty stadiums in countries around the globe. However, what’s interesting about this, is Rihanna embarked on the successful Diamonds World Tour just a couple years prior. So what went wrong for ANTI?

Was this just a one-off fluke? Will her next tour be massive?

“Where y’all at?” Indeed :eli:

She's just not a good performer! No one wants to see her slapping her pu**y on stage for 2 hours straight

Not this :gaycat6:

They probably went to the Diamonds tour and didn’t want to go again :rip:

My gf went and her experience was horrible: Riri arrived one hour late, looked dull on the stage, horrible stage production.

OP still fuming from that locked thread. :rip:

She‘s just not a good performer and does Not have the classics. I mean, People normally  bop to her Songs at the club but would you pay to See her perform mediocrely work, WFL, OG? Perhaps not

I attended the tour myself, unlike most other people clearly, so I’m not sure what this alleged “obsession” you’re claiming i have consists of :coffee:

From my own personal experience, she was over an hour late & was constantly chugging water throughout the show :lakitu:

Perhaps smash singles just don’t translate to ticket/album sales these days when you build a bad rapport for yourself

The Empti world tour was still majority sold out, or close to sold out. You guys act like only 3 people attended :rip:

People just finally started to realize that Rihanna can't sing, can't dance, and always late to the show. Having a writing camp is not a guarantee for people to come and buy the tickets to see your show.

Pretty sure there’s no such thing as “majority sold out”… by definition, a tour is either sold out, or it isn’t

Wait. :rip:

I mean, I respect her for still coming out despite the amount of reds.  Some artists refuses to come out and says that there's not enough power to power up the show. :dies:

OP only posted twice in that thread but you were constantly fuming there.

OT: Why did she arrive one hour late at almost every show with tired stage presence? Does anybody know about this?

If she did the tour half a yea later, it would've been miles better.

If she tours now, it will sell like hot cakes.

Unapologetic tour damaged her touring reputation, however at the same time, Rih has never been a strong live touring act.

In some places sure, but in London it was a fail. In Dublin and Glasow they didn’t open the top sections :rip: She took a huge hit there. She cancelled the other U.K. dates because they flopped

I attended the Tampa show and the stage was honestly beyond cheap.

She's not a good performer. All those global hits and her edgy, sexy, and cool factors never translated into her becoming a touring force.

being RihanN/A for hours during the DWT certainly didn't help

Basically this, she was never a touring force/performer

She sold out with the Diamonds tour so it’s weird how she didn’t this time
