Loved Solar Power when it came out, still feel the same way now. It's a state of mind really. Tbh, I think I will dig whatever she releases. Melodrama is still my fav album of all time, so I'm looking forward to her bringing back the bops. Can't wait to see her next year, my first ever concert :duca:

SP haters lack emotional maturity and are stuck in 2017. Tragiqué!

Indeed, I can’t imagine not relating to The Path for instance. I wouldn’t like to be them for sure

Her examples of pop bangers probably be songs like Mood Ring so :skull:

I don't really relate to lyrics like "Teen millionaire having nightmares from the camera flash" and I think I'm more than ok with that

I loved Solar Power but she’s never released a straightforward fun pop bop so I’m really curious to see what she means. Mood Ring was kinda a fake woke anthem just like Homemade Dynamite, Perfect Places, etc. I don’t think she’s capable of writing songs without a tinge of pretension attached:rip:

An album full of Mood Rings and Green Lights? Count me in!

Pls more Green Lights :jonny4:, also, search for new producers (I know Jack was involved in Melodrama but he seems to mostly be doing acoustic style songs these days).

I saw a tweet that said Solar Power was a loyalty test and everyone failed :rip:

I ended up loving Solar Power more than I could possibly imagine. Already my most listened to album of all time for sure. It just provides the perfect setting for me. I'd love to hear an album full of bangers. If anyone can do that right it's her.

Not trying to shade but didn’t she also say before Solar Power dropped that we shouldn’t expect artists to try and create  boppy music just because they have before?

Solar Power was the moment and some of you will understand eventually. I’m ready when she is but we do need a new album sooner rather than later

Solar Power was really good, it just lacked radio friendly hits to go with it.

Sorry that most of us are too busy dealing with jobs, grad school and other real life issues in a post-pandemic world to care about whether the sun is gonna show us the right path. :rip:

Like, the album isn't offensively bad, but it's incredibly lackluster. It just feels so out of touch and her relatable lyrics, which was one of her biggest strengths, are gone. Hopefully she'll correct this with her next project. I still have faith in her.

The meltdown, the song has way more meaning and messages than just simply letting the sun show us the path but go off I guess.

Please do another Melodrama that's all I could ask for Ella
