It was released as the lead single off Kate's 1985 album 'Hounds of Love', originally it peaked at #3 in the UK and just #30 in the U.S., it wasn't that big of a hit, despite being somewhat remember because of its cover versions, etc. It's the first time it's getting this massive popularity. In terms of success, feels more like a 2022 smash.

It went viral after being used on a powerful episode (fan favorite actually) on the latest season of Netflix's  'Stranger Things', which is hands down one of the biggest TV shows this century. Haven't watched the season, but the song was used perfectly on that episode, very emotional. First half premiered on May 27th, when the historic resurgence started. It was later used again on the second half of the season that premiered on July 1st. Reception has been so overwhelming and honestly a once in a lifetime event, that even U.S. Pop radio is playing it as a current hit very strongly.
