Yes, but a dislike button would be great too. There are downsides to both tho.

People will start trying too hard to gain likes and stans will not only abuse the dislikes, but also encourage groupthink.

Chile you taking about adding another feature on the forum when we are still having 503 errors for almost a whole decade. It would be nice but the way it looks like chile they won't be adding anything soon.

There's a recent temporary forum I've been using (ify,yk) and the ability to like/dislike is fun and sometimes funny when people pile dislikes onto someone's post (in a non-toxic way)... although for a forum that's this populated, probably not. Maybe likes would be cute but people would get too annoying with them.

I see posts I like every time I log in but honestly this incentivises trolls and leads to people posting for validation even more that usual.

When I read the title, I thought yes but these replies persuaded me in the other direction. Points & likes subconsciously program us to say whatever we believe will make us be well-liked. Nobody is immune to that longing for positive reinforcement & recognition. We need to speak our minds without consideration for how it's gonna be received or the site will be an echo chamber

It would significantly reduce the amount of activity as many posts are made as a way of “consigning” or agreeing. I wouldn’t do it if I were the admin.
