Taylor is more global and also more local … Taylor does better in markets way bigger than smol european countries forgotten since 1990s .. true that their market is smal but that’s because of their economy .. but there public consumption is still far and large… also Taylor’s growth from country(local) to pop ( expansion) to alt ( global ) is immaculate

Talking about Gaga, Katy is still bigger than her WW judging by their global Spotify positions 

1989 outdid Katy's entire discography in Oceania, Europe and ESPECIALLY Asia where she's probably the worst performing pop girl ever. She only has 1 gold album in Japan (2nd biggest market) and tanked in South Korea as well. Every pop girl outdoes her in those markets. Her album YEC placements are tragic. All her albums were carried by singles.  

 

Don't even get me started on SEA because Katy is a complete flop there.

You forgot China (best selling international artist EVER), Philippines, India, Pakistan, Middle East, the rest of SEA, Oceania, Canada, Mexico, Argentina (most #1 albums), Chile (their president is a Swiftie) and now Europe where she's outstreaming everyone.

 

She has several albums charting above ''global successes'' such as 30 in Spain, Ireland, Germany, UK, New Zealand, etc. .

Gaga sold more albums and singles outside USA. Gaga also has multiple global smashes. Taylor’s most global song Shake It Off wasn’t that big of smash outside English countries. But Taylor has been more global than any pop girl since 2012. Besides maybe Adele.

Gaga is way more global, has actual classics and she is bigger in Asia too. Taylor is a flop in Russia and ex soviet countries which make a big part of Western Asia, TFM went Diamond in the region and sold over 200 000 copies so her fans claiming that she is the biggest pop girl in Asia is a big NO. She may be the biggest in the South Eastern Asia, but she is a non factor in the western part of the continent.
