While I do agree that he lost that x factor he had back in 2018, I feel like he's still generally likeable. As he went poppier and more generic with HB, he lost some of the attention from young generations but gained more with the GP (our parents lol). And this bring us to the fact that he could have bagged another era with similar success to HB with good, on trend material (like it happens with all GP artists), meanwhile the 3 songs he released are all dated and very uninspired: bad music is always the main reason behind flopping. I still can't believe he missed the chance to jump on the rock trend

OT: He’s flopping now because his music declined. He released quality, A+ singles during his first 3 eras. His latest 3 singles sound like they could’ve been album tracks. And he should’ve went full rock like everyone wanted him to

The problem is most people were casual listeners of his songs. He didn‘t release music in 2020, so people simply moved on and now there‘s no interest in his music anymore + it didn‘t evolve.

It's obvious people were only using Post becuz of he was one a reliable source of bops for them.

 

Once he started releasing garbage (Motley Crew & the Weeknd Collab) = People were disgusted, moved on and did not give him another chance. They hopped on to other newer fresher artist who can meet their demands for bops

With that said, Posty doesn't have a fanbase. He relies solely on the GP's attention. That is what happened to Katy as well, even if the situation is not the same. That's why I think both could potentially recover, like, anyone can. It's not that they fell from grace with their fans, they're just not doing music that the GP cares for.

Oh, let's not. You could make an argument about Nicki helping Swish Swish, but Skip Marley and The Migos did nothing for the songs they were featured on. The Migos actually attracted bad press because of the homophobia scandal.
