if Taylor is coming, at this point it’s going to be TS10 or debut, she’s stuck in a corner right now that I’m sure she didn’t see herself being in. At this point I’m waiting for a post explaining it from her so the theory’s can stop

So right now there’s a lawsuit with some company because Speak Now (TV) is already a registered trademark and Taylor offered to buy the name and they said no because their product is already associated with Speak Now TV and they aren’t willing to give it up, so unless Taylor changes the name of Speak Now she absolutely cannot release anything ‘tv’ related (album or merch)

One of the shake it off lawsuits was dismissed but there’s still one going on that keeps getting delayed (I think it’s not going to be done in court now until October) and Taylor can’t release shake it off OR change the lyrics because that would basically be her admitting that the lawsuit is legit. If she would release a re-recording of 1989 and then go on stand and lose the trial, she would end up having to pay significantly more money. The problem with the copyright trial is she’s claiming the phrase is a common phrase, while also trying to trademark it, so it does seem a little greedy on her part (please don’t come for me swifites I love her but that’s how a jury is also going to see it)

This is avoidable.  It's "Taylor's Version".  Just use that on merch instead of abbreviating it.

It’s the whole Speak Now that OnePlus owns so even using “Taylor’s version” instead of TV isn’t an option

I don't see how these lawsuits some of y'all love bringing up are supposedly still in flux when "1989," "Speak Now," and "Shake It Off" are all registered trademarks on the new merch pages on her site... That clearly signals that she *won* them, and is just keeping us in suspense of when she's announcing.

sis it’s public record  the shake it off trademark battle is still going on

 

“shake it off” and “1989” aren’t the problem. It’s the lyrics that are under attack

Mmmmmmm it’s the ONLY Friday the 13th all year, so you would think she would take advantage by releasing new music, Taylor’s Version or otherwise.

-She’s teased three 1989 songs, “Blank Space” with a duration of 3:51, ”Style” with a duration of 3:51 and “I Know Places” with a duration of 3:15.
•Jimmy Fallon did a bit last night saying "Jimmy Knows Places Taylor Left Easter Eggs".
• Last week she Tweeted "m i d n i g h t"; blank spaces between each letter and “midnight” is the first word in “Style”.
• The “I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)” music video had 13s and 26s all over the cake, 13 weeks after Red (Taylor’s Version) was “The Joker and the Queen” remix with Ed Sheeran and, 26 weeks after is today, May 13th!
