Β I understand how frustrating it can be when you want to do something but it seems like the mental distress is an obstacle. I personally would suggest to not allow the mental distress to dictate your life, and to be compassionate towards yourself. Praise yourself for what you've been able to achieve and recognise if something might be overwhelming for you right now. Β You shouldn't finish the song at the expense of your own mental health. Β There are other options besides completing the song, such as: 1) Not submitting for this round and trying another round in the future, 2) Try and get your song to where you are satisfied with it rather than "finishing" it, 3) Submitting what you already have. Β Asking someone else for help or researching by yourself, whether it is help with your song or anything else, is another option. I think it can be easy to place a lot of weight on "getting something done" when that might be adding more stress unnecessarily. I think it is important to enjoy the process whether or not you finish writing the song. Β Finishing the song is not a requirement in the game or in general. Β This game can be a playground where you can be creative and learn! Β I don't know if this helped you but I thought I would share some comfort and advice , especially since I've experienced this myself too. Into The Void Posted May 18, 2022 Share Posted May 18, 2022 Well heres what I began Β Β Temporary Fix Β I got the top down on my jeep now My friends in the back Having a blast music is up Driving by the sea Such a beautiful day Β Wind blowing in my hair its all out of control but i dont care Im going so fast but this feeling wont last Β its just a temporary fix to a bigger problem i got lots of feelings that dampen my mood been trying to fix it but only so much i can do I try to bandage it up but i cant seem to make it fully heal time and therapy dont seem to work for me its just a temporary fix Β I try so hard but no matter what i do i keep getting knocked down its like im wavering but never really set in place Β i look up at the sky its so sunny and bright such a glorious day a little bit of a breeze to cure the heat but i still get jaded Β cant i make this go away forever pills stacking up and up i lost count Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
