Or was Billie's void filled already, perhaps by someone else, uhm a certain new gen z MPG?
Harry Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 she was always just…there why would people wait for new music when they can just listen to her every other album. it’s not gonna sound any different anyway

Blue Monday Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 It's kinda funny that ATRL likes to push this narrative that she's not really all that popular, successful or beloved yet she's still in the top 10 most streamed female artists daily on Spotify and managed to snag two Grammy nominations for Positions Regarding her hiatus, it's too soon to tell since it hasn't been that long. I think her next album could be huge depending on what the sound is and if she actually promotes it this time.

Her album will be massive when it finally drops. She got 2 #1 debuts within 6-ish months of each other in 2020-2021, with one of them becoming one of the most influential/buzzed about songs of the 2020s so far. IOP has had insane longevity since it dropped. When Cardi actually puts time and effort into rolling out a proper era, it will be a pop culture moment. She'd have to really drop the ball for the era to get screwed up badly.

Dialamba Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Her last album was released a year ago. She’s among the most streamed female artists with no album. She has a top 20 on BBHOT100. Into you reached 1B streams yesterday....But sure she’s over...some of y’all still think Ariana is just an one hit wonder artist.
Jjang Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 She literally has a song charting in the top 20 & is consistently in the top 10 most streamed female artists. Stans miss her, but not enough time has passed for the gee pee to start missing her.

BloodLuster Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 absolutely not. girls in sexy outfits singing trashy sexed up songs are a dime a dozen

PopKills Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Her Witness is coming (why isn’t there a Katy gaycat emoji )
CBC Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Not really. She was a filler in the industry who provided absolutely nothing to it in the past few years. If anything we should celebrate her absence because her unbearable stans haven't been so vocal
Solaria Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Ariana’s discography aged horribly outside of some of her hits tbh. Especially tun and Positions
RihFenty20 Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 yes, she's the only mainstream vocalist left in the industry. I hope she gets back into the studio soon after she's finished with Wicked because her voice is definitely missed.
saintspice Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 (edited) why do we keep pretending like this is her first hiatus ever? do we not remember when 2017-2018 she didn’t release anything for an entire year no features no soundtrack songs etc. and she did that whole social media blackout? i remember stans going crazy to have her back then. ot: positions was an album only her fans really enjoyed. she also did zero promo for it. for that not to affect her industry standing she needs a relatively quick follow up that’s either more promoted or accessible to more listeners. if she takes too long and does another r&b trap pop drop and go people will really lose interest in her Edited May 7, 2022 by saintspice
Zoe_ Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Although Ariana's name is huge, I still feel like she hasn't had a MOMENT. Nothing impactful. She's just been the ride.
