We did it kids :jonny:

As a senior citizen (26 yo) I finally bagged a job with a salary of $120k a year with a 10% annual bonus. Life's been super good work wise fortunately for me even though it started off ROUGH.

Graduated college in 2017 with a biology degree and these have been my salaries since:

2017: $20,000/yr (TX) - I was MISERABLE :skull:

2018: $36,000/yr (CA) - Paycheck to paycheck as my CA is in LA :skull:

2019: $58,000/yr (CA) - Finally when I could breathe financially and wasn't completely paycheck to paycheck

2020: $72,000/yr (CA) - When I was finally financially comfortable to buy things I wanted without worrying about bills.

2021: $78,000/yr (CA)

2022: $120,000/yr (TX)

The GROWTH :jonny: Time to buy all the Kpop albums from 2017-2019 I skipped out on :jonny5:

The way I was paycheck to paycheck in 2017 :rip: .

that is amazing, congratulations!

If you moved to Texas, I'm assuming you're in the biomedical field right?

Congrats sis, I've got there around the same age. I will say though that the more you make the more expensive your lifestyle seems to get. Like you'll move in to a better apartment, buy more expensive decor, go to more expensive parties, it seems like the system is made for you to always want more. At least you seem to have relocated to Texas where I guess things are cheaper, in major cities it seems like the sky is the limit as to how much you can make and spend

It's a sickness forreal though. I'm not even close to being rich and feel the effects of wanting more.

I have a 3 bedroom house and live alone, yet I was recently looking at nicer houses and I had to consciously stop myself and go "You live alone in a 3 bedroom house in a great neighborhood. Stop being greedy"

The more you make, the more you want to spend, and then more you need to make to sustain the lifestyle :rip:
