I just don't think it's progressive to refuse to admit whether or not you're into men.

I don't think that's what he was doing at all, but we can agree to disagree on that.

Saying that you are gay or bi should not have to be a dirty topic that you don't want to admit to.

100% agree

The essays :rip:

literally people are writing dissertations on this subject :toofunny2:

I got lost with so many essays.

I personally hate labels, sexuality is a spectrum and we all fall in some area.  I don’t understand the need to label every area and everything. It’s already confusing.

But I also think some people have that need for some reason, and those are the ones complaining about Harry.

That might be why this is so controversial.

This is another problem with this thread and the discourse surrounding all these conversations. What exactly is 'queer', in this context? Perhaps that explains some of the confusion about whether people are talking about how he dresses or his specific vague statement on his sexuality. Maybe for some people the way you dress can automatically make you 'queer'. I keep mentoning "gay" or "bi" because that's what the interview question that spawned this was about. I myself don't know what 'queer' means half the time. I am a gay man, that's all I know.

I 100% agrree I never call myself queer but gay,

If that's what you got from a post that included donating millions of dollars to LGBT youth, then god bless you on your journey.

...every person I've talked to in here supports Harry, what :deadbanana4:

By *checks notes* dating white girls and writing songs about them. Yep, pretty queer.

Once again, Harry stans referring to actual concerns and frustrations as us "dragging" him. It's becoming clear that none of y'all can approach this subject outside of the rose-colored stan glasses y'all permanently have glued to your faces.

*Sings along to As It Was on the radio* sorry what did you say?

*gestures at you literally @-ing the mods in the very thread and in the other one* :rip:

Have a nice day.

Not you talking about mythologization when your entire argument rests on the hope that Harry Styles absolutely cannot possibly be queer despite having no way of knowing :rip: You really are completely hilarious and lack any sense of self awareness :toofunny3:

DO you know what the concept of burden of proof is? You are the one making the claim, therefore the burden to provide proof of your claim is on you. And you have none.

During your ongoing tantrum you have literally made claims such as "hinting at queerness" by "winking at the camera" and you seriously think you have a shred of credibility? :skull:You think that you get to lecture anybody on education on queer history, when clearly you lack any experience in the real world and all of your information comes from random books you scramble to find on Google? :skull:

"look at this guy, his knowledge comes from books!!1!"

This is a Trumpian level reaction to education :rip:

You still cannot handle the fact that you don't get to define who is queer and who isn't based on if they have come out or not, and I think ultimately that's where our opinions differ massively. You think you are entitled to know someone's sexual orientation because of how they dress. That may be an opinion you find mirrored in sheltered people online who think that the queer community is a monolith and that they speak on behalf of all queer people, but it's not the way it works in the real world. I am sorry to be the one to inform you of this, it clearly has come as quite a shock to you. And nobody said those artists are pretending to be queer for profit, but they have absolutely marketed themselves to the queer community for commercial gain. So your argument is rooted in deep hypocrisy. And again, you are confusing a male wearing a dress as "pretending to be queer", but don't understand that queer people don't own dresses, and all you are doing is using antiquated stereotypes to try to bolster an argument you couldn't even make in the first place.

The "dress" has basically become a straw man in this thread, because time and time again it has been said his ******* dress doesn't matter.

This further underscores that you are not listening, you are not trying to educate yourself, you are reaching a conclusion and then looking for evidence, when it is supposed to be the other way around.

And to this tidbit:

a) I have not once said that. I want you to directly quote me where I did,

b) a queer person who has not come out is still queer. A straight person is not.

And not another link to a Wikipedia article :deadbanana4: You really love to use Wikipedia to try and appear psuedo-intellectual, don't you? Unfortunately it's not working. At all :toofunny3: Now please find some way of moving on from this because your meltdowns aren't as entertaining as they were a day ago

Are... are you now denying the existence of the concept of psychological projection? :deadbanana4: :deadbanana4:

The Wikipedia article was to your benefit since it is easy to understand and accessible. Would you rather I link to the tens of thousands of scholarly articles, books, lectures, and scholastic textbooks on the subject :deadbanana4:

Your continued obstinance to any form of information being presented to you is honestly astounding. Pathological, even. How did you react when your parents told you Santa wasn't real? :deadbanana4:

This is going around in circles and watching you bend over backwards and scramble is just boring at this point. You aren't even providing a debate that is stimulating or though provoking. I've also been made aware in this thread that you have a reputation on this forum for being aggressive and unreasonable, so I no longer think you are worth my time in discussing this further. So I'll let you argue with the wall

I truly feel terrible for you and hope things get better. This level of aggressiveness/passive-aggressiveness over strangers is not normal.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you to recover from whatever is making you act this way.

You have already admitted to not reading anything I'm providing to you, and now you want to critique my debate abilities :deadbanana4: :deadbanana4:

Harry stans tell fellow Harry apologist that that guy is a big meany for actually proving his points and not letting us get our kiis in :rip:

I realize the pool I'm drawing from is skewed by default, but every single Harry Styles stan I have encountered on this website has the emotional intelligence of a 12 year old.

Sis you've been getting dragged and cleared by several members for over 24 hours now, it's time to call it a day. Find something productive, anything, and do that

...I know you're not reading my comments, but are you reading anything in this thread :deadbanana4:

Two Harry stans, and whatever the hell you are, throwing a tantrum that your "arguments" fell to pieces under critique by numerous others in here is not "being cleared" :toofunny2:

How Harry stans view the "real world" they keep referring to or whatever:

Unhinged behavior: valid criticism, citations of articles, books, and various other sources to back up said criticism, using historical context in debate

Normal behavior: Pretending a straight white male is a victim of queer people, throws tantrums when faced with information that goes against their worldview

It's truly textbook definition of highschool bullies, which is depressing considering this person is claiming to be an adult man. I propose not replying and engaging anymore. I know I won't be giving him the time of day.
