Britney Spears when she super leans in to the chipmunk-y side of her voice, like when she does that 123 count in 3 or that oops songC her circus era was great tho, loved her there vocally!

Camila when she goes into her upper range is unbearable.

1980s Madonna and Ray of Light Madonna were amazing, but everything in between is trash vocally.

Peak Gaga was an amazing pop vocalist, very radio-friendly, wasn't nasal. Now she's always too character heavy in her vocal delivery, the way she enunciates, sometimes too little or too much that it gets very grating + her chesty vocals, not it for me.

Christina is actually okay tbh, she strains but her voice isn't grating on her early records, that being said nowadays its just nails on a chalkboard.

I enjoy Madonna's music, but I just can't stand her voice most of the time  It's just so thin and whatever processing she started doing to in the 2010s is not helping.

 

A lot of people talk about how popstar's don't need to be amazing Broadway-level singers and it's true, but her discography is one that would have benefitted so much from her being an actual vocalist. Like imagine Like A Prayer if she could seriously belt it.
