I haven’t been following this very closely but it’s unsurprising so many straight men are coming out of the woodwork to drag Amber Heard now. 
 

It reminds me of how men will ignore 1000 legitimate rape cases but suddenly become activists when there is 1 false accusations against a man. It’s very transparent…

"Making a big deal out of this".  It's his career and public image that took huge blows which is why this whole iT wAs BoTh narrative is BS. If it was both then neither deserved repercussions. With that said the amount of **** that is coming out about Amber... didn't she start this whole lawsuit herself? Or did she just accuse Johny of violence without suing him? Either way... it seems like her career will suffer a lot from this.

My take on this is that Depp is a clearly troubled substance-abuser, and Amber is a narcissist with her own demons, who took advantage of that. He’s exactly the type of person a narc would seek out & this type of dynamic is the perfect crazy-making combination for misery, chaos and abuse all around.

So what's ATRL's take on this whole mess?

 

My take is that both of them physically, verbally and psychologically abused each other. I've seen enough evidence from BOTH sides to conclude neither was JUST a victim. At different points in their relationship they were victims and victimizers. Anyone who sides with one is purposely ignoring a ton of evidence. This is why I think Depp will lose the trial. Because it's true that he abused her, just like it's true that she abused him. I do think he's mostly winning in the court of public opinion because he's likable and she isn't.

What do we think is going to happen with Aquaman 2? Will they remove her? Can they even remove her? The hate towards Amber is massive. I can’t picture her going on press tours, talk shows, magazine covers after this trial.

Girl, Aquaman 2 has already been shot. Shooting for principal photography wrapped in January 2022. I can't imagine them removing ANYONE, let alone their main actress, without having to do a ton of reshoots, which are usually extremely expensive. Whatever loss in revenue you think Amber's presence in the movie may cause, reshooting would be waaaaaaay more expensive. If they wanted to remove her, they would have done so before filming.

 

Also the producer already said THIS.

 

I wish the internet would understand they aren't as powerful or numerous as they think they are. For example, the petition to have Amber removed reached 1.5 million signatures. That's less than 0.2% of the people who watched the first film. It would be insanity to make such a costly decision based on the whims of fringe internet group.

It really doesn't matter. The best defense when sued for defamation is to be telling the truth. Regardless of the bad job her lawyers may be doing, enough proof has been shown that the jury will likely be in favor of the defendant, aka Ms. Heard. I don't see this going any other way. Depp knew he wouldn't be able to win this lawsuit, but he didn't care, because he wanted as much public sympathy as possible, so at the end of the day, it's a victory for him.
