I think the big difference to Meryl Streep and Frances McDormand's awards count is because unlike those two, Jessica Lange hasn't had a big film role in ages and many awards are critics awards that exclusively award film performances. She took a three year break and after THG, the only film she chose herself for herself was mother!. A film she should've been nominated for.
