Nothing worth celebrating I fear:(ย

ย

Rishi will become PM after the leadership content and then weโ€™ll have a billionaire running the country who is on the side of other billionaires and not average working people.ย
ย

The best we can hope for is a Labour/SNP coalition (seeing as Labour wonโ€™t get a majority) in the next election which unfortunately isnโ€™t coming until January 2025 unless the Tories have the balls to call a snap election.ย
ย

The UK really is one of the worst places to be in the western world right nowย :rip:ย What a dreadful 12 years itโ€™s been with the Tories in powerย :ace:

I'm here for Rishi. It will both ironic and iconic for a man of Indian heritage to lead the country as a Conservative leader.ย

If Liz Truss is leader we're going to war with Russiaย

Liz Truss needs to win the leadership battle.

I donโ€™t want a war with Russia but I definitely want the most anti Putin leader possible.ย :lakitu:

Thereโ€™s plenty to celebrate. Boris himself was intending to stay for years to come and this resignation proves that public pressure can work. If the next leader is just as bad, or worse like many people seem to be oddly expecting, then this has set a precedent that even the most narcissistic person can still be pushed out when the flames get hot enough. Itโ€™s a really good demonstration that no matter how powerful they might be, ultimately they can and will be held accountable. Yes itโ€™s taken a lot to get here, but the point is that we did get here. Of course the next leader isnโ€™t going to be good either because there are no good tories, but they carry this burden which is a positive regardless.ย

It kinda would be funny just to make Boris suffer more, I'd be here for that and let her stay until they get their new Leader :rip:ย  You know Boris is only clinging on now because he doesn't want to end up than a shorter run than Theresa.

I hate this pic because it reminds me of the Priti Patel man version which apparently looks like me - triggering :jonny:ย

Tresemme must be laughing her ass off somewhere! And her farewell speech actually made me feel bad for her unlike Mr. "Them's the breaks"ย

ย

Now how are yall gonna trigger a general election? Labour needs a vote of no confidence put forward? I know the UK girlies better back Angela Rayner as the Labour Leader if that happens! Let the Gobby northerner lead!ย

Iโ€™m not sure about a precedent. ย I reckon conservative voters will just consider Boris a blip and view his replacement as an improvement regardless of how good they actually are.ย
