makeawish Posted May 22 Posted May 22 idk if i'm just telling people things they already know or not but i think it's fair to point out that this is the first general election where voters will have to bring photocard ID to the polling station to vote. these will NOT include most ID generally issued for young people (student cards, young person's railcards, etc) because those people don't vote tory. passports and driving licences are the main things you can use. ย if anyone doesn't have ID for these elections, i think the easiest thing to do is apply for a postal vote, which can be done up to 11 working days (a little over 2 weeks) before polling day https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote ย you can also apply for a government ID card but these are new and idk how well tested the application system is https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate ย ย ย
