I’m debating whether I really need to upgrade to the 14 Pro or whether I should just get a replacement battery and hold off for another year. I kinda hate having a Pro Max honestly, it’s way too big

The one thing I’m not sure about is whether upgrading to 14 pro is worth it from an 11. I mean an upgrade is an upgrade but it seems like 14 pro is basically the 13 pro… and that one comes in a lovey alpine green… Would it make sense to go for a 13 pro right now since it’s getting discontinued or just go for the 14 pro (with an ugly color)

yep literally have had my X since 2017 and it still works perfectly and I have the latest iOS. 

 

By comparison the S8 (Samsung 2017) last got a new Android version in 2019 from what I can find lmao

Sis, same, my 11 feels ancient, luckily I can upgrade next year so that’s what I’m going to do, iPhone 14 Pro Max for sure, probably Gold or Black, I like the purple but they really f*cked themselves over with not including the Sierra Blue and Alpine Green colours for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

Get the best you can! I’m upgrading from a XS Max too. Things I considered in upgrading:

 

1. battery life - LBR, the XS max battery life is ****

2. Camera - Leaps and bounds better than my XS Max

3. Display - 120ghz is amazing

4. Connectivity - 5g; XS Max is still LTE max

5. Faster charging time

6. Dynamic island looks aesthetically pleasing

Thank you XS Max for the four years. You never failed me except for the twice a day charging but i need to upgrade.

5g is only good if you have good signal, trust me. I have the iPhone 13 Pro and have to turn off my 5G constantly.

So you actually have to manually switch to ProRaw mode to activate the full 48MP. 
 

Besides, with the Dynamic Island, would it also mean the front camera is more prone to being blurred because, you know, we touch our fingers on the exact same spot where the front cam is? 
 

Either way, i’m so upgrading to 14

Pro (ideally Pro Max if my wallet is not running low) from my current 11 pro which i bought at the release day. The shitty camera is more than enough to guarantee this update.

Anyways... Nothing that fresh or interesting. Bad AOD implementation.

No upgrade with regular 14 (except cam). And no green color... so 13 which is getting cheaper, is a better choice(?)

Maybe not anymore but it used to be a thing. I wouldnt know since ive never owned any apple phones but i do know that people pay 1000 for an upgrade with a "slightly faster" user interface, a .2cm larger camera and slightly bigger screen. Apple loves their sheep.

Would still be good for future proofing the phone. I do not update regularly. Like every 4-5 years so if you wish to be with your phone for a long time better to future proof it

I bet the image stabilization is going to be really cool when shooting video. I always like to shoot video out of the car window and its always soo shaky.

The fact that the AirPods Pro can now use the Apple Watch charger would be such a huge QOL upgrade for me that I'm kind of considering buying a new pair just for that
