Rybakina beating Iga on her way to a clay title is an interesting development.

Happy that Radacanu gave a good match against Swiatek.

Gutted for Muguruza, I enjoyed her game when she was at her best.

I can't believe the French Open didn't give Cornet a wild card. Her streak of consecutive slams more than likely coming to an end now.

Garbine :jonny2:

that 2021 AO loss to Naomi really broke her for good huh. Still my favorite match of the decade so far, we will miss her!

I think the opposite. The fact that she has 2 GS and 2 RU with 20 1st and 2nd round losses makes her a great candidate for overachieving to me. Her peak was high but she was almost never there.

I will thank her for predictably imploding and giving Kenin a slam. Too bad she's been a hot mess since COVID.

The most frustrating thing about Monfils having a great season so far is that I always knew he had the talent to be great. Just ask Novak Djokovic, who has said that Monfils was the toughest opponent he played in the juniors. I just hated how Monfils waited until he was 37 to finally take tennis seriously. I will always wonder what if he had done so at a younger age. Could he have been one of the greats like Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, etc?

I swear to god someone has been fixing draws behind the scenes for years in Swiatek's favor. Like have you seen her draw in Madrid until the final? Not one player capable of doing anything. And it's been like that 3rd year in a row. Even when she was ranked #2 she was getting easier half of the draw.

The fact that she's gonna end up being one of the most successful players in tennis ever and she wouldn't have even reached top 10 15 years ago...
