This girl has got to be the biggest fluke/weakest grand slam champion in recent history. I don't think she's beaten a Top 10 opponent or had back-to-back wins since that USO.

The US Open has produced some fluky winners. Look no further to all the stars aligning (Serena losing in the semis to Vinci) for Flavia Pennetta to win the 2015 US Open.

Sad for Paul. Rolled that ankle up 3-2 in the second set tiebreaker against Medvedev. I think he would have won that match and had a good chance to beat Alcaraz in the final. Instead, he loses the semi and has to retire in his first match in Miami. 🥲
