Into The Void Posted October 28 Posted October 28 (edited) Just finished The Substance and uhm that was weird and not in a good way Among the 3 worst horror movies this year. Why r people praising this? Edited October 28 by Into The Void 1 1
Jack! Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Girls, I re-watched The Substance last night to make up for leaving the cinema when I saw the first time. And I'm not kidding the visceral reaction happened again when the third act happened. I think I have a genuine fear of the last part of that movie.

I don't care for the movies personally outside appreciating the practical effects and DHT's performance as Art but this IS CRAAAAZYYY and so damn cool. The fact that an unrated splatter movie is making this type of money... horror has never been more back!

commander Posted October 31 Posted October 31 I went to the movies yesterday and saw Smile 2 and all I can say is that the movie was surprisingly good. The acting by the main protagonist was Oscar worthy, the music great and the camara work stellar. The only things I didn't like as much as was (1) the high tension through out the movie never lets up at any point once it starts. And (2), the CGI at the end was a little off-putting. 8,2/10 By the way, the Gemma girl played her exact same role in The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Jack! Posted November 1 Posted November 1 Saw Heretic tonight. It was a good movie, I just think it tried too hard to be thought provoking and have more substance than what the actual story was when everything eventually unravelled. The ending was satisfying but not enough of a pay-off after sitting through it for almost two hours.
Alaska. Posted November 1 Posted November 1 I saw Terrifier 3 with a packed audience and had a blast. I was cracking up on so many scenes 3
SapphireSky Posted November 1 Posted November 1 Heretic was awful. Probably the worst film I've watched this year

enchanted0 Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Longlegs just got theatrical release in my country (since it's "Halloween" such a flop country) and it's getting SHREDDED from the GP lmao
sweetsexysavage Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Watched The Innkeepers and I'm kinda shocked it was directed by Ti West AND it has a RT score of 81

sweetsexysavage Posted November 5 Posted November 5 ATRL seems quite divided on Late Night with the Devil
Mr. Duff Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I just watched Heretic last night, great movie. Not as horror as I expected but it was thought-provoking, and the actors did well. Surprised by Hugh Grant honestly.
