It was decided based on feedback from the spring 2023 town hall to transition this thread back to being election specific. With the Civics section being able to house specific threads on many issues, we think having a generalized politics thread is not completely necessarily anymore. 
 

With that said, please continue to be respectful and remember that you do not always need to respond to everyone.

Kamala wasnt on the ballot in California because she had dropped out 4 months before the primary :gaycat2:

Who said that? I said her numbers suck because shes tied to Biden and invisible in the administration. Would they improve if she replaced Biden and took the spotlight? I think so.

She's been in the spotlight and has ran as POTUS herself. If she's not popular at this point she probably never will be.

People are acting like the people running the Democratic Party are evil geniuses, when in reality they are dumb out of touch millionaires 

 

They literally thought Joe would do a decent job at the debate. They are as shocked as everyone else.

 

They are highly incompetent and have no idea how to switch a candidate this late in the election. It's still going to be Trump v Biden. And since partisan voting is still the norm for the US, Biden still has a 50% chance of winning.
I'm not saying that it right or a good thing, but it's the truth

Most election models give Trump more than 50% chance of winning right now. It's kind of over unless there is a candidate switch.

No election is over in June. For example, The general rule of when to take polling seriously has been after Labor Day. I dont imagine polling will change much by then, but you never know.

Sister this same exchange is also viral on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok with people finding it funny and (even worse, complimentary) over the face Trump makes when Biden mentions that Melania was pregnant when Trump ****** a porn star. Like @Bloo has mentioned, I think some of you are misunderstanding what are actually disqualifying actions to most of the general public and voting population.

Biden is deep fried. It's best to let another candidate run. Aside from other issues he has with left voting populace, he is not very healthy and needs to retire.

This is ultimately still a loss for Biden. If the debate did nothing to the polls, then Biden is ultimately still the loser because he’s underwater in all the polls for swing states. He needs to gain ground. No movement for him is bad at the end of the day.

I feel all the concerns about his health state to continue this race but if GOP is pushing for 25th Amendment - this is the probably what Dems shouldn't do at any cost. Why they still afraid of Biden if according to them Trump is gonna win by landslide? :fan: GOP need badly Biden out and someone as stupid like miss Kamala instead of him :gaycat2:

he's still the under dog. But maybe it ain't completely over for Biden after all 🤷

 

still need a few weeks for this to settle and reflect in the polls better.

what? :skull: they're pushing for it because they know it won't actually happen and they can add more fuel to the news cycle about the debate disaster and mirror the calls democrats made for trump's cabinet to do the same.

I really want the Biden simps to answer whether they would feel safe if they got into an Uber and Joe Biden was their driver.

 

And if that answer is no, then why do they feel safe with him being president?

It's not just about him though. It's about the team around him and yes I feel better and safer about a Biden administration than I would trumps second term administration. Which will be filled with right wing Christian nuts.

I went to a birthday party yesterday and my aunt and uncle who are older moderate voters literally said "I like Kamala. Where has she been?" 
 

I was just like 💀

 

also after trashing Biden's performance at the debate they followed with "we still wouldn't vote for Trump" 🤷 

 

so who knows what voters are going to be feeling come November
