Well I think that's enough of the debate I needed to see.ย ย @Espressoย I threw away my mail-in ballot for the Democratic primary because it seemed pointless. I might vote Green in November, though that exercise in itself also just seems ultimately pointless with what electoral politics has become. Maybe it's blue-state apathy or desensitization from involuntarily seeing too many photos and videos of Palestinian children manned and hurt by bombs, but I guess the couch really did win in the end.ย Edited June 28 by Communion 1 1
Isaiah Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Genuine question for someone with more political knowledge than me: with how poor Biden's reception is and how the public perceive him as senile Joe, why don't the dems just prop up Kamala instead? Why are they so hell bent on Joe 2.0, I don't get itย 1

Basically insinuating that they night kill it after its born? post birth abortion? ย I cant even fathom the words he says it makes my brain hurt.ย Again, infanticide (i.e., post-birth abortion) allegations are not new: Quote Republican Senate candidate Alan Keyes attacked Barack Obama over this legislation during their 2004 race for the U.S. Senate,ย repeatedlyย accusing himย ofย favoring "infanticide."Because of this, Keyes said, "Christ would not vote forย Barack Obama." Nevertheless, 70 percent of Illinois voters did vote for Obama, but now the issue has bubbled up again. ย The National Right to Life Committee released a statement Aug. 11 saying it had obtained proof that Obama was misrepresenting his 2003 vote by stating that the Illinois "born alive" bill that he voted against in committee lacked a provision, contained in the 2002 federal law, that foreclosed any effect on abortion rights. Obama, in an Aug. 16 interview, then said critics of his "born alive" stance were "not telling the truth" and "lying." On Aug. 18, the NRLC updated itsย white paperย and continued to accuse Obama of dissembling. https://www.factcheck.org/2008/08/obama-and-infanticide/

Why are they so hell bent on Joe 2.0, I don't get itย Because they're bad at politics.ย ย There's an age-old adage: "Republicans fall in line; Democrats fall in love." There's no logical reason to keep Biden, frankly. Ironically, in 2016, Hillary Clinton supporters (myself included) argued in favor of super delegates because they allow the party to course correct in an emergency scenario. We are in that exact scenario, but the Democrats will likely not pull the trigger. ย They always could. The Democratic elites could try to convince Biden to step down. But, they literally rigged the primaries for him so super delegates cannot make up the difference. ย As for Kamala, she also polls poorly. But, I personally attribute most of that to the fact that she's too attached to Joe. ย 3 2

Democrats aren't certain how well she could do, so they're not willing to commit to her even if they like her, and everyone else just despises her. 1
