There goes Communion and his damn paragraphs again. No one wants to or has the patience to write a whole essay everytime you have one of your Episodes whenever someone posts something innocuous like 'Harris winning probably would have been better'. Most normal people just want to state their opinion on a subject and have a fun back and forth, not have to write a damn thesis.

So use your paragraphs now.

How is Palestine safer now the Democrats lost?
How are Women's rights safer now the Democrats lost?
How are LGBTQ+ rights safer now the Democrats lost?
How is Medical care safer now the Democrats lost?

Don't deflect, answer these. Educate me.

You have spent 10 years whining and crying and bullying and never being able to actually celebrate or hold up progressive wins. It's like moaning about other pop stars charting and performance because your fav can't chart or promote.

The point has literally never been that Harris and the Democrat Party weren't better than Trump - it's that they should have been good enough, in the view of American voters, to win. But they weren't and aren't, and let's be completely ******* frank here - it's because they don't want to be.

"Thing" is such a telling little word, such an ugly little peek behind the curtain of what a lot of Democrats think of the true left. Inhuman, sub-human even, as if we're only here to cause trouble for them, as if we haven't been right about what works in elections and what doesn't for years now, about what the American people want and need - healthcare, food on the table, a living wage, robust infrastructure and services supported by reasonable taxation. It's honestly all a very simple and modest platform, all entirely reasonable, but instead we get the architect of the student loan crisis and Liz Cheney's BFF who never won a primary, and then in discussions on here, dehumanizing abuse is launched instead of any actual substance when you make any points.

a mess and a half :snowman:

Oh, you mean the people who said I shouldn't have a vote because of the American cityI live in and made up things about my occupation and beliefs because of where I live?

Won't somebody think of theze victimz!!! How will they ever go about their days harassing people who have differing viewpoints and life experiences?!

The incongruous of these right back to back. At one point I am too stupid but also too scholastic.

Genuinely I hate the term but it needs repeating that you're out of your depth here.

And I don't want to ascribe malice. I think most people are not evil. But it's either you're evil or too inundated by privilege that you can't see why you're constantly espousing politically ignorant hot takes.

I don't think homeless people are innately evil and I don't think it's a valid political opinion to believe they are.

I'm presuming the fraud Jill Stein's running for the Greens next cycle again and libertarians aren't adjusting on their positioning re: education so dependent on where independents re-position themselves I'll be voting for Claudia de la Cruz if she runs again in 2028 until there's something resembling movement on an Israeli arms embargo as our citizens starve while homeless and without healthcare.

I don't relish suffering for revenge on neolibs like others here and I'm not an accelerationist but the gaslighting on being obligated to settle for genocide is not a point of privilege as I've expanded on for hundreds of pages on here so I won't continue. Have fun with your debates which I'll enjoy reading.

If anyone hears from the mods on when this ****ing reboot's actually happening please let me know as I've given up in HQ on getting a response.

And to think, the screeching from Miss Glowy started pages ago merely for me calling Obama a bad president :jonny:

At least you can admit your faults after spending hour after hour, day after day on a pop music forum....in a politics thread.

I did scroll through your post history, and it took me 5 pages of scrolling to finally see that...you're a Lady Gaga fan, and it all clicked for me.

Lmao.

I guess you can't resist continuing to personally attack me even after dehumanizing me and calling me "a thing." I wish you could apologize for saying something so gross, but we can't always get what we want, can we? :)

Anyway, the status is "former," since I haven't claimed being a stan of hers since "Applause"

I don't really post in pop threads that much anymore either (which is why the weird accusation that I always try to link pop girls flopping to moderate Democrats is so ******* funny to me). And frankly can't really even access the rest of the forum since it always crashes when I try to go to Civics, Charts, or any of the other sub forums.

So your only reason for being on ATRL is to complain about Democrats?

I really think a lot of you are TOO invested in 'winning' in a political thread on ATRL. I don't even mean this to be bitchy or whatever, but maybe letting the pressure out a little on your political investment would be good for y'all. This is all meaningless waffle posting in this thread at the end of the day to the point of actual feelings getting hurt.

I don't think (or would hope) anyone actually cares what someone else on ATRL expresses about their politics.

We can call it *** for tat then for the copious personal insults you've thrown at me - and any other Harris voter - since July. If you can spew it, you can take it.

But I'm with you on being unable to access any thread that isn't on the main page. It's how I ended up back in here today and why my visits to ATRL in general have subsided substantially.

See, this is where one may read you as malicious in your economic privilege.

Because you get responses that explain how these questions are in bad faith and not the reality at hand - no one thinks Republicans winning elections improves anything - and yet you ignore these responses and just...repeat yourself?

I'm pretty sure you also have Economic privilege as not only are you clear that you don't want/need to vote for Democrats, but also openly advocate for others not to vote. Guess none of the **** lands on your doorstep, so why care right?

So Democrats losing for the last 10 years hasn't cause any major political or platform shifts in their party, Republicans winning doesn't improve anything, progressives do not have anywhere near a strong enough foothold to gain power, so why are you here in this thread? If you're so disillusioned and everything so hopeless and both teams as evil as the other, what exactly do you think is going to happen?

I said it during the election and I'll say it now, but @on the line hasn't provided a single instance of substance or food for thought besides saying how miserable people who don't agree with them are. They just come in here every early morning on the west coast, throw demeaning insults at the same people, say how out of touch we are while they are an affluent SF liberal, then dip.

@ClashAndBurn's negativity drains me at times, but at least there's points behind the negativity. A lot of lessons to be learned.

I can't imagine someone hopping online to drag people before my morning coffee has even cooled down is someone who isn't miserable themselves. That's the irony of it all.

I've visited this thread like 5 times since the election and hopped right out bc it's the same 5ish people still debating a done-and-over election for the 148281818139947181 time. Spare me - as well as pointing out where I live as if that has anything to do with the conversation. That's creepy.

If you're pro-Democrat, why do you want to see their party collapse under the weight of impotent, unpopular policies and lies that will lose them elections for the next decade at minimum?

If Democrats are our only saviors, why do you not want them to do better and be better so people will actually vote for them again?

Are you a sadist who enjoys seeing the Democratic Party get humiliated? Do you want them to repeat their strategies which have been failing for the past decade atp? I don't get it.

Then leave? You don't need to contribute to the conversation, especially not one you don't enjoy, not that you really do anyways.

And what's *actually* creepy is calling someone a thing. How detached do you have to be to want to sling such a dehumanizing statement at someone you don't even know on the internet? Is everything okay at home?

So grassroots build up progressive candidates and Primary establishment Dems with no need to further empower Republicans.

Why is that never progressives answer?

Lol okay. But why are you inserting yourself into a discussion that isnt yours? I think you've forgotten all the insults that user has said towards me. "Thing" is quite mild, and if that's all you can latch onto then we are definitely done here.
