The only way he isn't the nominee is him wanting to finish out his second governor term in PA. Already fixed. Toggling too quickly. Sorry @Hector
dman4life Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) I fully expected MAGA to make a big deal out of Hunter's pardon and be hypocritical but I wish these centrist Dems and the like would stfu about it! Edited 16 hours ago by dman4life
Vermillion Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Great dynamics re: infighting as to who's jockeying for influence and where. Usual praise for Pete Hegseth, Tom Homan, and Kash Patel here. 1

Everything now is culturally and politically coded from the products you buy, the clothes you wear, the shows you watch, the sports you go to, the state you live in, the car you drive, the devices you use, and on and on. So again, not sure where to go from here. The Dem bench is abysmal and that includes AOC, Whitmer and Beshear. The DNC will force feed us the vile snake and oppo research wet dream Josh Shapiro, thus dividing the base while the MSM will lap up the right's cries of antisemitism. I don't know where you want to start because I have no idea. So incredibly well said, especially the bolded. I'm also not sure where we go from here but I think it exists outside the current narrative of left and right, normalcy and chaos, etc. These narratives are divisive for a majority of our incredibly idiotic American public. Americans, though known for priding themselves on individualism and freedom are consistently bowing to the perceived desires of whatever herd they want to be seen as part of. So for that reason, the left needs to really work to redefine itself as being for ALL, and completely focus on it's appeal to the middle class. I think messaging needs to be as simple as possible. Continue to be the party of abortion access, gun reform and equality (things Dems are already known for) but prioritize messaging that applies to ALL Americans like (obviously) the economy and those every day "kitchen table issues". These are issues that perceived have taken a backseat to social issues for Dems - it's a messaging issue, I don't think it's even really a policy one. This all needs to come from new faces, not old hags nor the squad (as much as I like them). To be one step ahead, I think in some ways the left does need to take one step back from a messaging perspective... and not for nothing. After Trump DOES destroy the economy, these "kitchen table issues" will be more prominent than ever. The educated, politically-aware public will still vote left no matter what for the most part but we need to attract both willfully ignorant idiots and the uninformed (as harsh/elitist as that sounds ) Edited 16 hours ago by Hex 3
FameFatale Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Charlie Kirk and Steve Bannon are STILL camped out at Mar-a-Lago. Charlie said he's part of the transition team but it's so weird they're still down there 24/7 doing their daily shows. 1

Declare a crisis and then martial laws. The Kremlin accelerationists got what they want: a US which destroys itself from within. In the next 3-4 years, Trump team would do everything to install his loyalists into the military, while billionaires like Elon would just get richer with military contracts and economy cash grabs with the tariffs. 2

It took over a decade for House Dems to move on from Pelosi, even though she contributed strongly to their loss of 1,000 seats alongside the failed leadership of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Hakeem Jeffries has already shown the same record of failure and he's just been re-affirmed unanimously by the entire rank-and-file. Zero opposition. Just fully rolling over. It's pathetic. Democrats are pathetic. They show this time and time again, and their voters reward their impotence time and time again by refusing to hold them to any standard or expectation of success. Hell, Joe Biden literally failed upwards into the presidency by running two failed campaigns and flopping into the VP because he satisfied a "generic white ConservaDem" checkbox to balance Obama's image as a "radical" that he NEVER lived up to. 3

I view the Democratic Party the same way I view my beloved Chicago Bears. Trapped by their leadership, with younger talent constantly getting shoved aside by those at the top, who have shown time and time again they are incompetent and terrified of change

They were fully united behind him and they have prided themselves in having zero room for dissent. It's not that the younger talent is getting shoved aside. They're willingly stepping out of the way and cheering for failure. 1
