2024 US Election Megathread ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

Like I said before, Kamala is not a super talented politician or speaker. :rip:ย She can be likable when just being a normal, relatable person talking about her life and even a decent debater when it comes to certain issues like abortion, but she's unable to defend Democratic positions consistently and effectively at the level required for someone running for President. And that's why she has to be elusive when it comes to everything she believes in, so she can't be pinned down on any position and forced to defend it.ย It's like you can see her doing the means testing calculus in her head before she answers any given question what response will be the least controversial, most nothingburger as to not turn off any swing voters, but by doing so she comes off inauthentic and uncharismatic. A good messenger is just as, if not more, important than the specifics of your policy ideas.

I figured that's their thinking. But it's a bit hilarious because simply calling for an arms embargo is cheaper and would be more effective to win over people that might feel like voting for Stein.ย

Of course. But because that's not an option with Kamala not wanting to overstep Biden's Zionism that Israel is a vassal state of the U.S. as he mentioned back in the early 80's because of her "loyalty" to his admin according to several CNN sources they have to make up for it.

Why has Walz been forced to put the gloves back on and Obama's become the bull in the china shop? Are their comms teams even speaking? What internals are they using? This is so glaring and frustrating :ace:ย

How so? I thought Walz's speech today was very hard hitting....he took Trump to task for how down right bad he was for working people and the auto industryย

Walz literally took the gloves off today at his rally. It was great ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

But what misteps?ย

ย

Hillary's biggest issues were her public image and her constant stream of scandals. Kamala doesnt have either of those problems.

That so many here have glossed over the relentless months of her own team knifing her anonymously to Politico during her time as VP as giving word salads and not reading her security briefs, only to have it rear its ugly head up again and low-info liberals act surprised has been exhausting to unpack again.

ย

Convention momentum seems to have clouded over all those uncertainties that have now returned with a vengeance.

This even has me side eyeing her wtf :skull:ย  what is her campaign thinking? Just because you have republicans voting doesn't mean you have to make concession for them. They aren't voting based on policy. Are they stupid??

I just watched like 5 minutes of Trump's campaign in Colorado and it made me want to vomit. Such a despicable man. The rhetoric is disgusting and I'm scared ย for what this country will turn into. This post-truth world is scary as hell. Sorry for dooming on hereย :jonnyknife:

Trump won PA in 2016 with a margin of 44K votes. Stein got 49K votes.

Trump won MI in 2016 with a margin of 11K votes. Stein got 51K votes.

Trump won WI in 2016 with a margin of 23K votes. Stein got 31K votes.

ย

Voting third party is a voting for Trump period.

Imho, Kamala's security advisor said explicitly they're not going to pursue an arms embargo, while Jill's given a great performance in pretending she gives a ****, while Trump wants Gaza and the West Bank off the map so Jared can start building his condos. So now what.

ย

I keep seeing this stat, but people are tired of no action and notions that Kamala's owed their votes when their family's dead.

ย

"But what can she do?" I keep seeing. Alter the default that we need to continue giving Israel weaponry because otherwise they won't be able to retaliate and would be bombed out of existence.

ย

Why does the Arab-American diaspora have to be forced to accept hundreds of thousands of dead women and children from our bombs as inevitable collateral.

ย

People are tired and want a paradigm shift. Short of they and their supporters moving which some liberals have suggested they're not budging.

ย

So maybe what's more productive is to target the tens of millions that have never voted at all. Maybe we can start there.

Addressing the reasons that people are turning to Stein in the first place? Adopting more progressive policies to earn their votes?

ย

mqp2LmF.png

ย

Wasting money on anti-Stein ads and shitting on the left/3rd parties while promising Republicans a place in her cabinet?

ย

Oh those internal polls have them in shambles. The biggest sign of weakness.ย

ย

Spoiler

I don't even like Steinย :coffee2:

ย

ย

By that same logic, voting third party was siphoning extra votes away from trump towards Clintonโ€ฆ this is such lazy thinking. Come up with something betterโ€ฆ

They had Hispanic voters tied and Black voters 20% Trump in that lol

ย

The Hispanic vote might be realistic since it was 58% Desantis 2 years ago:rip:ย But the Black vote was 13% Desantis in a +20 Rep election. 20% Trump ain't happening:skull:

ย

Fully expecting a mess either way because their 2 Arizona polls are a hot mess as well.ย
