anti-bitch Posted October 8 Posted October 8 (edited) The hurricane has made me realize how many social media influencers live in Florida. There's a lot of them on Tiktok recording their evacuation or storm preparation. Β Also, Jim Cantore tweeted that if the eye of the storm goes a bit north of Tampa it could be the most expensive hurricane damage ever. Must be plenty of wealthy people living there. Blade Posted October 8 Posted October 8 If the most recent NYT polls are even close to accurate then this may the smallest EC bias for R's in years. Β Also, NYT said that the FL poll is not necessarily an outlier for their numbers. They may be onto something. All these FL +2-4 Trump polls can easily becoming from pollsters weighting based on 2020 recall vote where Trump won +3. Β Β Spoiler I'll let the audience look at what a 2022 midterms repeat means for the EC.Β Β 1 1

Even the CBS refusal to fact-check in the VP debate was a sign of that. All the Kamala memes are funny, but they do make her and the campaign seem a bit unserious. I miss Obama because at least every time he appeared somewhere it felt like he was the adult in the room. Hell, sometimes it even makes me wish Buttigieg was the nominee instead. Like at least he unapologetically pushes back against the right wing and their bullshit, which Kamala clearly only feels comfortable doing on the issue of abortion. He being a much more talented orator than Kamala (and your average Dem) gives him more room to stake actual positions and defend them effectively rather than constantly concede ground to Republicans out of fear of saying something controversial that will be soundbited in an attack ad. Β Whew, if you told me back in 2019 I'd be praising Pete on anything Β 1
