If Dems can manage to hold onto 48 (+2) seats, then Walz can break ties and confirm most of her personal picks for her cabinet. If Republicans take it, she's going to have to either hope and pray that as much of Biden's cabinet will stay on as possible and just accept that she's probably not to get anyone new confirmed for the next 4-8 years. Not realizing that you can't really vote out unelected "experts" that drive policy consistency across administrations of both parties, so even getting suckered into voting for populist demagogues like William Jennings Bryan or Donald Trump will mean nothing. Trump, elected Republicans, and self-proclaimed alpha male influencers and their anti toxic chemical mommy tradwives are the ones calling out the institutions, so they're the only ones who can be trusted. There's room for a healthy amount of skepticism of the intentions of our government and institutions of course - like hello, the Iraq War - but more and more it feels like people just distrust everything by default even when there's no reason for deception. And btw this isn't just limited to conservatives, like I know plenty of liberals who have nonsense beliefs about Big Pharma hiding the cure for cancer or the moon landing being fake or anti seed oil garbage. It's very worrisome seeing this wave of anti-intellectualism show no signs of slowing down. I fear we're heading toward an actual Dark Ages. 10

If the media complains, she could just say that she's happy to put them through a hearing and vote whenever Republicans are ready. 10
