Sannie Posted July 23 Posted July 23 My god I was jumping on the Beshear train and then this happens. if true, more signs they're being extremely strategic and will go with a swing state guy. I'm okay with that. I fear Shapiro's performance in Michigan, but maybe he can pull it off.
GhostBox Posted July 23 Posted July 23 (edited) 2 minutes ago, thedeathbymusic said: See Beshear is a little robotic and cringe... Shapiro has that machismo energy and lowkey a little rizz that may match Kamala's freak: Exactly. I like Beshear and will be happy if he's the pick but Shapiro is just better and is from PA. A state we desperately need to win. Edited July 23 by GhostBox
ClashAndBurn Posted July 23 Posted July 23 If Cooper, Walz, and Pritzker are on the shortlist and Beshear isn't…
FameFatale Posted July 23 Posted July 23 I just love Mark Kelly but I would hate to lose him in the senate. He would be an amazing VP though. 1
Blade Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Policy/ideology aside, Beshear demeanor wise does give Buttigieg.....but actually attractive and not ratty. 1
Sannie Posted July 23 Posted July 23 9 minutes ago, Vermillion said: The only swing state I worry about is WI, which admittedly is because idk the demographic. PA can be won if Harris is able to rock the black vote in places like Philly and Pittsburgh. And Michigan can be in the same way in places like Detroit. Idk if there's an equivalent to that in WI lol.
thedeathbymusic Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Look I know it's shallow but Kelly, Pritzker and even Cooper just wouldn't look good with Kamala as a pair...... I'm sorry it's just tea
NausAllien Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Out of all the ones they're vetting, Cooper would be the worst pick, right?

But a 15-point win in a swing state during a year that should have been bad for the Dems in theory is just really hard to overlook I know Mastriano was certifiably insane and made Trump look like a liberal academic by comparison, but you don't win by that margin in a swing state in such a polarized environment if you're not resonating with people in your state. I really think having him on the ticket shifts Pennsylvania firmly in the Dems' favour and once Pennsylvania is locked in, paths to 270 become a lot more flexible. That said, I think Beshear is off to a great start in his public appearances over the last 24 hours and I think he has the potential to raise the ticket throughout the whole Rust Belt instead of just giving a big boost to one state with perhaps limited effect in the other states. So I don't think Harris can go wrong between the two of them tbh. Just please for the love of god do not let it be Buttigieg Would much rather have Beshear than the guy who is such a deranged Zionist psychopath that he compared campus protesters to the KKK. Shapiro being on the ticket would mean that in 8 years we could end up with a president that is even MORE pro-Israel than Biden and Trump while partisanship among Dems has been trending AWAY from unconditional support for Israel ever since Netanyahu lambasted Obama over the Iran deal on the House floor a decade ago. 3
Marianah Adkins Posted July 23 Posted July 23 I like Beshear but for some reason I feel like he is better suited to be groomed for 2028 VP than now. There is a lot of potential in there and I feel that whisking him immediately in 2024 might spoil that. Shapiro is a zionist but he matches Kamala's freak for some reason
Blade Posted July 23 Posted July 23 I'm sure internal polling is being done with each VP in swing states....I'm curious to see the polling for Harris/Shapiro in PA.
WildAmerican Posted July 23 Posted July 23 who's got eyes on Mark Kelly the last day? I think he's the best choice tbh
Sazare Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Hate Shapiro's ass but I have to believe if he becomes the VP nominee he'll have to moderate his language on Israel/Palestine. He really is absolutely disgusting on that issue tbh. 3
ClashAndBurn Posted July 23 Posted July 23 (edited) He was cognitively impaired in October 2021 and they just… hid it from everybody… Edited July 23 by ClashAndBurn
Pop Art Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Kamala manifesting a 360 electoral vote victory. Very Julia of her. 1

I think we're at an extremely rare moment where young people aren't completely hopeless about our leadership options and might actually vote (even if at least part of that is just because of the coconut memes ), but with him as the VP pick it'll totally deflate all that Edited July 23 by Sazare 4 1 1

But I'm more referring to the reality denial and claiming that what we saw with our eyes and heard with our ears was just a right-wing talking point with zero validity to it whatsoever. There's so much else that they could have lied about since his inauguration. In fact his public health records should even be suspect, since his family doctor is literally a close friend of the family. 1
