Eglė Posted July 21 Posted July 21 My For You page on X is literally LITTERED with negative posts about Kamala. And I've never engaged with any pro-republican content in my life, nor do I follow any pro-republican accounts. Musk must be working overtime. 1
midnightdawn Posted July 21 Posted July 21 First election since 1976 not to have a Biden, Bush or Clinton on the ticket. 2 1

It's going to be so hard for them. Obviously GOP strategists are starting their campaign of throwing **** at the wall and seeing what sticks. I doubt either of these talking points will make a dent, but we'll just have to see what's next 1

Armani? Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Black men vote 80% or more Democrat in every election in general, this echo chamber is just polarizing and doesn't help Why are we pretending the voting patterns of White women & Black men are the same 1

We gotta get Kamala on Gen Z podcasts stat!! Lol I kinda want Kamala to keep being a meme, but I also hope there will be viral moments where she's serious and talks about issues that people have. Podcasts might be good for that purpose, yeah 1

Communion Posted July 21 Posted July 21 (edited) Also @Vermillion is certain the good sis does not want it, but the political calculus some others and on Twitter have in thinking the point of a VP is a hometown hero seems off and ignores the point of cultural context and messaging. That there are cultural archetypes in America that speak across things like state lines. (Also feel like people erase the reality of Pennsyltucky being a thing ddd. Beshear wouldn't deliver southern states. He'd speak to normie small towners in PA/WI/MI. People who feel like they come from a slower walk of life and for whom America is leaving them behind.) ElectricStyle Posted July 21 Posted July 21 i really am hoping that democrats can stand behind kamala and win this election. trump CANNOT win… that would be devastating to this country
wastedpotential Posted July 21 Posted July 21 I just... I cannot believe this actually happened ddd I'm sure I'll have a come to Jesus moment for my issues with Kamala later but for now... 1
Blade Posted July 21 Posted July 21 I think we need to discuss how big a Taylor Swift endorsement would be. It would be bigger than her endorsement of Biden in 2020. 3

NausAllien Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Republicans probably don't know exactly how to attack Kamala, not because she doesn't have weakness, but they don't really know what will have an impact on voters. Do they bring up her record as attorney general? What about her fumbling of the southern border migrant crisis? Do people find her laugh or personality annoying/grating/unlikable? Did she cover up Biden's health condition and do voters even care? Do they paint her as far left radical, even though she's barely left of Biden? Can they paint her as a warmonger and someone who will continue Biden's failed foreign policy strategy? There are many possibilities but nothing is certain. I don't think Trump wants to debate her either. He's ahead in the polls and has nothing to gain from a debate with a former PROSECUTOR. The only reason he won the last debate was because he was literally debating someone with dementia.
shelven Posted July 21 Posted July 21 "Black men won't vote for Kamala" feels like a big Twitter isn't real life moment It seems to be completely unsupported by any polls we've seen so far and is based solely on very... questionable, to say the least... Twitter stereotypes about how black men don't support black women. People need to start remembering that over a third of eligible adults in the US don't vote at all. A lot of these weird takes come from people who likely won't be voting for anybody regardless. 1 2
Orsay Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Kamala's biggest weak point is the border crisis. Unfortunately immigration is a top issue for a lot of voters. They'll go in on her for that 1 1
