I don't see how you can blame this on NY Dems' dysfunction. At this point, Biden is uniquely turning New York into a swing state in ways that only he could.

Well this raises an interesting point - whether what Bernie's supporters were accused of doing is what Biden's die-hards will now do which is stay home out of protest for the Dems machinations.

I think the biden die hards will find it crazy we are gonna swap out the nominee who's down 3 points for another nominee who's also down 3-4 points.ย
ย

its not like she's doing any better. Against trump.

ย

its just some hope that she can execute the case against trump better than Biden. But we have already seen someone try that (Hillary) and people didn't care ๐Ÿคท

And now we have to revisit why Hillary was a uniquely loathed candidate which I ย wasn't looking forward to doing.

Reminds me of the sudden coup against Bernie in the 2020 primaries lmao. Obama and Pelosi pulling the strings behind the scenes as per usual

Biden's political career ending in the exact same way he ascended to the presidency... poetic justice.

People thought she was corrupt and too much of a know it all and a *****. ย ๐Ÿ’€

ย

which is exactly what I see happening to Kamala.ย
ย

but I may be wrong. Who knows anymore ๐Ÿคท

You can convince people to come around to voting for Kamala because she at least has a functioning brain. You cannot say the same for Joe and his evident dementia + Parkinson's symptoms

Beyond the usual theater, it's interesting seeing these rich donors squirm in fear. All the illusions they hoped would keep their power in check are crashing down. Thanks Biden!

I mean yea but I just don't see Kamala putting up white voter numbers enough in the swing states to win. ๐Ÿ’€

ย

Who cares? She's gonna lose in 2028 anyway so might as well get it over with so we can have an actual primary then instead of a coronation.

ย

Biden CAN'T win. It's ******* impossible, and the only ones who can't see that are the Ride or Die Biden dick suckers.

ย

Kamala at least has a chance. And if there is anyone who would vote for Biden but not Kamala, that goes to show that the Dems built their coalition the wrong way after rejecting any and all approaches that involved outreach to and engagement of the youth voters that Bernie Sanders appealed to. You reap what you sow.

She won't. But the question is whether keeping Biden's worse. If we were seeing dramatic differences in polling the donors would have a point.

ย

Also not looking forward to DEI/CRT being deployed effectively by Chris Rufo against Dems, again, in this entire conversation, when she inevitably loses as well.

ย

If it really is all about keeping the money advantage since donors are all that matter now apparently it has to be Kamala.

With an endorsement from Biden and a white man from a swing state on her ticket Kamala would have a serious shot at winning. First of all she'll be able to deliver a fully coherent message against Trump especially on a debate stage. Also Trump's support is pretty baked in and is highly unlikely to grow beyond what it is currently. Kamala on the other hand would already have the Dem base and has a chance to grow in support with the right messaging and bring more non voters and Independents out to vote, something Joe Biden cannot do (especially now).

ย

Edit: It'll be even better if Biden resigned from the presidency altogether and gave her a chance to government, sign executive orders etc but we all know Biden's not going that farย :gaycat6:

Now see, this level of nihilism is bordering on Susan Sarandon's acceleration theory in 2016 which leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not saying you're wrong, butย :doc:ย โ€ฆ..

ย

As for a youth coalition, that ship sailed with Gaza.

I just don't think they'd put Kamala up as the main nominee but it might be their only choice kiiiii. Let me place my bets on PredictIt

I agree.ย
ย

I still think Biden has a better chance at winning. But I'll back Kamala 100% if she is the nominee. (Which again will depend on tomorrows press conference)ย

Absolutely will not be the same. Many have said they will vote for the Democratic nominee and not just a particular candidate.ย

Imo, Kamala can only win this year because Trump is a disastrous candidate. If she's up against any other Republican, or if she's up against an incumbent Trump after SCOTUS somehow throws out the 22nd Amendment, she doesn't really have a path.

ย

It's not really Sarandon-style accelerationism. It's the pragmatic option. Biden is a 100% guaranteed loss. Kamala at this point is roughly 85% in 2024 and 97% in four years with her only saving grace being that her opponent would be Marjorie Taylor Greene, at which point the race MIGHT actually be a toss up.

Nah, if the press conference is a flop, the goalposts will be moved to "let's see if he clears the Lester Holt interview on Monday"ย

ย

Courage is not something Democrats are known for. They will keep waiting and waiting until it's too late, I guarantee it.

Be for ******* real. Nobody wants to suck Joe Biden's dick. And, Biden has won against Trump already. So it's not "impossible."

ย

You're really, really angry.... at the wrong people.
