Let's just say Biden does do horrible tomorrow and the Dam breaks and he does step aside for the nomination.

it's going to be Kamala as the nominee.
who does everyone think she should pick to help the ticket win?

I say Josh Shapiro is the most politically smart choice because if they win PA trump isn't going to win.
but I also like Beshear from KY.

or hell just go all out and put Whitmer on the ticket as well 😂

I think Hillary would have had a better shot at winning if she would've went with Warren in 2016. 💀

I think they'll pick either Shapiro or Beshear. Newsom's too "coastal elite" to share on the ticket with another Californian and having someone from either a swing state (Shapiro) or a red state (Beshear) will give that appeal. Whitmer would also be a good choice, but I think she wants to hold off until 2028 until she throws her hat in the ring.

I totally agree with the newsom part. That would not work out well 💀

Newsom's appeal doesn't go beyond the West coast. I like him but he would lose every swing state.

Are these people this dumb.... or is it in act?

why would George Clooney tell Biden to step aside because of his tax plan when whoever replaces him in that scenario would have the exact same plan or an even more progressive one?? :deadbanana2:

People use horse shoe theory to show that the far right and far left are the same, but the past 13 days have proven that the far right and center-left are far more aligned in their conspiracies, media distrust, and blind loyalty.

Ryan Walters is singlehandedly the worst thing to ever happen to education here - I truly feel for anyone who teaches or has kids in school having to put up with his blatant radicalization of the system

Having 2 women on the ticket just wouldn't work, it should definitely be a white man from a swing/red state.

There's apparently some brutal internal polling from New York today showing Biden down by double digits in districts he won in 2020. Might be why we have gotten some high profile calls for him to drop out today.

NY and FL did not see the same Democratic wins in 2022. That was the big story from midterms. "Dems over-perform except NY and FL"

NY was a warning for what was to come. Guess that else helped fuel a red wave there? A dysfunctional NY state Democratic party.

We would see that play out on a national level in 2024.

I mean, even if he will do very good, I think it's better for him to step down at this point. Damage by media is already done and it's real, dems need a younger candidate with strong VP to have a contrast against Trump :gaycat2:

If Biden stays in he should use this microphone and sound equipment everywhere because it's the clearest he has sounded in weeks 😂

We have two choices in this election. You're either voting for democracy and the US to continue

Feels like you already were dog-walked enough for being a troll in these posts but I must point out the overall lesson that, by tying democracy to having to vote for someone who is simply not mentally capable of even knowing where he is, you make the idea of saving democracy unpalatable to most normal people.
