Who was just blamed by Biden as being too "self important" when they raised concerns about Biden's debate performance. Gotcha. When it comes to Pod Save Bros, I'll admit I'm only really familiar with Jon Favreau

I thought the member caption would be included on desktop that I changed but yes, I've been meaning to do it for a while now. Hopefully the same GIF was enough of a giveaway. 1

When it comes to Pod Save Bros, I'll admit I'm only really familiar with Jon Favreau Since progressive media seems to have been decimated, internally fighting, or fired (The Intercept near bankrupt, Young Turks never recovered from Ana's transphobia and Cenk's ambulance chasing, Briahna's firing), it's been fascinating watching the young establishment center-left media see little movement amongst millennials and Gen Z to the right, forcing them to be more transparent about their struggles within the party if not breaking with some aspects of it entirely. But since I follow the news across the political spectrum and they're now literally breaking it as a power player I don't have much of a choice. There's also Tommy Vietor and Dan Pfeiffer. 1

Vermillion Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Folks starting to see writing on the wall and based on past statements, he's not entirely isolationist. Wonder when he's in if he lasts.
.Odyssey. Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Nancy Pelosi thinks he needs to reconsider his decision. Girls it's JOEVER When is this man going to drop out? 2
Bewitched Posted July 10 Posted July 10 (edited) Welp that's it. Trump is winning. Ain't no New Democrat candidate about to woo the nation to vote for him or her in under 4 months. Not to mention, let's just say Biden steps down, all the funding disappears unless Kamala is picked as the new candidate. i hate it here. i would've rather democrats stick with Biden until the election and if he wins then start this bs. I mean Dick Cheney was basically running the show and George W. Bush was his puppet. At the very least if Biden won and after his inauguration he really showed more signs of health decline just let Kamala be the president while the republicans whined. Edited July 10 by Bewitched 1
Vroom Vroom Posted July 10 Posted July 10 So if Kamala becomes the nominee and loses, will that help or hurt her chances of winning the democratic primary in 2028?

It will help! That can only generate further momentum for her going into 2028! We would love to nominate another losing candidate, just like Hillary! Girl, what kind of question is this 1

It would definitely hurt her, but truthfully I think this is the ONLY shot she has of ever becoming the nominee/president so she may as well go for it!

With Joe's prior three losses as a comparison? The stakes have changed and politics has changed and the situations aren't comparable. It will objectively hurt her and no not just because she's a woman of color. She's associated with this administration by default, some of which is fair and some isn't. Her team was clearly the one leaking her earlier points on wanting a Gaza cease-fire since they've gotten nowhere within the West Wing.
Blade Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Clooney comes out against Biden. His tone isn't as gracious as other calls to step down. 1

And unlike the slapstick reversals elsewhere I'll be stunned if she pulls that here. What's more telling than anything else here is that Jeffries is still beholden to her. Makes sense I guess. She wouldn't have her successor going rogue. 1
Bamboo Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Tbh I think 4 months is plenty of time for a new nominee, especially if it's Kamala. Our election cycles are so unnecessarily long. 5
