Cotton Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 It would be delusional to say that YG doesn’t draw more influence from the Western music industry than other companies. Like let’s be real, from the release strategy, the music (compared to other Kpop groups) and their image.

Big Bang have no musical impact in today's Kpop industry because they never took risk or innovative. They borrowed a lot from American pop and left no musical identity. bigbang birthed BTS
harrythevifan Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 This is kind of a power move... Doing a Taylor Swift dance cover at a time when Taylor Swift covers have been getting taken down due to copyrightstuff just because you're on the same label as Taylor Swift neener neener neener.

Zack Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Teddy's best work, no contest. Comments to the contrary are not being accepted at this time.
thirdward Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 If teddy produced gotta be you then that’s his best

Like damn this is actually kind of a step up for them… most of their songs sound cheaper than this tbh I think it’s almost the standard now for most nugu groups to go the girl crush/BP route at least once

It's actually comical seeing people deny that, because YG basically jacked Lady Gaga's 2008 image and branding (singer-songwriter with larger than life visual art paired with dance-pop) and imposed it on both Big Bang and 2NE1 until it fell out of fashion in Korea. They fit right in with American Top 40 music from 2008-2013 and they only stood out in Korea, because the rest of music industry of Korea was still trying to jack Britney Spears' marketing campaign from the early 2000's.
BTS Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 ‘Respected Musicians’ my arse. They’re trend hoppers just like everyone else. IU smashing lately? Bigbang will release a ballad. Rap smashing lately? Bigbang will release a noise track. Trap trending? Guess who is releasing a trap song So over VIPs gushing over Gdragons talent & ‘creativity’ when he literally plagiarised his biggest song. You know that wound cut deep when VIPs a decade later are still trying to claim every boy group is copying them. Definition of inferiority complex. You don’t see SNSD stans trying to prove they were the NGG. Because they don’t have to.

MusicFan98 Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 The Criminal defenders trying to come for SNSD, sadly 15 years into their career are an iconic group of talented girls that made korea and the world fall madly in love, still getting hits whether as solo acts, sub units, tv, movies, cfs, and in the hearts of the korean gp. Not their fault BB focused more commiting crimes than on releasing music and building a respectable image, because the Murderers, HappyNewMonkeyYear, running clubs where girls are abused image, isn't looking cute at all.
