Was listening to Ditto and this song came on shuffle immediately after and got reminded me of how good it is  the 1-2 punch I felt….

People say otherwise but it would’ve been a hit if it was a TT. Twice needs a banger no more soft songs (I still love TTT)

lashings aside, mhj is unfortunately quite smart. not only has she secured the fanbase, she's secured the gp, the fashion girlies, and with ditto the interest of kdrama fans. the park jihu and choi hyunwook feature was a welcome surprise. both are rising actors (park jihu an award winning actress most known for all of us are dead and choi hyunwook known for 2521 and weak hero class 1) with huge teen fanbases. new jeans is securing crossover appeal in several directions.

 

a certain star museum should take note.

Talk That Talk is still a bigger banger though, I don’t trust people who say it doesn’t have that Twice magic and flair….it absolutely does. It’s fantastic.
 

Basics is more of a chill banger imo, and I can understand why they left it as a Bside and went with TTT as the title.

Stayc is so much better than most 4th gen GG groups. Beside Aespa, NMIXX and Weeekly they’re above every 4th gen groups especially compared to the current top GG

I really hope you’re excluding  SEVENTEEN from these conversations when y’all are talking about HYBE groups’ lack of vocal diversity or vocal talent 

but then again most people tend to forget they’re in HYBE so I understand lol

Ditto is okay but if a group like STAYC or RV released it like said earlier I'd eat it up for sure. Probably because of the vocal production like some people were saying.

This sound was very popular in Baltimore/New Jersey/Philly in the 90s to mid 2000s…Sticky by Drake is an example of a recent mainstream song with a Baltimore club music inspired sound

They have a cute discography but im honestly suprised by the bandwagoning of these girls, i wish them an ounce of luck knowing the neverending fickleness of GG stans. 

 

Anyways the MV for this song >>>>>> ugh im obsessed with the aesthetic of it. It's my fav MV of theirs and honestly this entire years' sans DREAM, it is aesthetic and story driven but without the obnoxious pretentiousness of all the other story driven Groups

(COUGH TXT AESPA LOONA COUGH), They got my kdrama heart by casting my husband Choi Hyunwook. I will give MJHs evilass something, she really knows how to take advantage of a trend, 'looking at the hit film 20th century girl, which this MV is better than in my personal opinion.'

The MV was just chef kiss for me honestly, need more groups to have class and sophistication like this please.

Yeah this is a major problem with HYBE labels. Their artists barely have any actual singers and the vocal editing is simply way over the top on their music, which results in bland, flat and overly processed lifeless vocals. 

 

It seems to be a thing across the board in every single HYBE group. Even the ones that can somewhat sing...you can't tell on the songs because everything is overly edited.
